Hi,

First of all try Hard reset. If that does not work, then you will need to restore this iPod from the computer it was originally set up on.

Do this:

Make sure the Touch is off...press and hold the sleep/wake button for several seconds until it shows a slider, then slide to turn off.

Plug your USB Touch connector cable into your computer but not the Touch...yet.

Press and hold the Home button and then connect the USB cable from your computer while holding the Home button down. The touch should come back on.

If your Touch has a very low battery, then let it charge at least 10-15 minutes and repeat the above steps.

When you see the Connect to iTunes message you can release the Home button.

You will now see, on your computer, a recovery mode message. Click OK.

Just follow the prompts and restore the Touch and you will be fine.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi,

There are two configuration to be dealt, when you put passcode.

1) If you forget the passcode and enter wrong passcode 10 times, all the data would be deleted and lock would be unlocked

2)If you turn erase option off in the settings and if you give wrong passcode, then the iPod would be disabled 1minute, 5minutes, 15minutes, 60minutes, another 60 minutes finally disabled connect to itunes..

Your situation is second one, which the phone is disabled by giving wrong passcode..

To unlock in your case:

If you absolutely cannot remember your password, or that doesn't work, the only thing you can do is restore it.
-connect your iPod to itunes
-press and hold the home and power Burton (at the same time) for about 1 min and don't release till see the image of cable and cd.
-itunes will ask you to restore your iPod ,click restore and wait.
please note that Everything on your iPod will be erased

Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

Forgot passcode to ipod

You'll need to restore the software with iTunes. Select the iPod in iTunes, under the Summary Tab, select Restore. You will then need to resync it as well.
