Refrigerator turns off and on (intermittently) unpredictably

Sometime when I open the refrigerator door, the light bulb does not turn on. Then if I press the button (door open/shut light bulb button), on the side panel, a few times, sometimes the light bulb/refrigerator with turn on (sometimes it will not turn on).

There's probably something sticky inside the button between the plunger and the housing or the spring inside is weak. Try to clean it out. If that doesn't work then replace it.

The interior lights stay on when the doors are shut and sometimes go off when you open the doors.

I have the same issue! It seems to me that the lights stay on until the bulbs get to hot and thats when they turn off on their own until they cool down enough to turn on. That leads me to believe that the little buttons that the doors push in (at the top hinge side of each door) are no longer turning the lights off when doors close. A wiring issue, or something. I litterally just took the bulbs out of the refrigerator. The freezer switch/lights work fine. I hope to find an answedr, if i do, I'll let you know!!

On your refrig the control board on the back has relays that turn the interior lights off and on. since you stated the door switches are dry and not sticking i think the relay for the lights has gone bad. you can use sears.com to obtain a part number for the circuit board and replace it yourself. the board is replaced wire for wire and if you can use a screw driver you can replace it yourself..

Refrigerator light stays on even when door is closed.

Turn off the Low Ambient Switch on the upper panel of the Refrigerator door. That will turn it off.

The lights do not turn on when opening the doors despite changing the bulbs.

It sounds like the door switch. Check to see if it is sticking -- it should come out when the door is open. If it's not sticking, the switch probably needs replacing.
