Jenn-Air 48600 touch button problem

The "cancel off" button does not work so I can't shut the oven off. Also, the number "1" button does not work (actually the oven light tries to come on when I press "1". Everything else about the stove (including all of the other buttons) works fine.
Do you have any suggestions?

Re: Jenn-Air 48600 touch button problem

Hey Erik,

Thats was happening to my sisters jenn aire just a couple monthg ago. I ordered a board for it but, the daybefore it came in I jauseled the front of the board attachment piece and made sure all connections we're tight... yada... in the maint field... you know hand search all connections with these printed led boards you can just have a loose connections and send bad signals and false board readings. And yes, even touch pads willact weird. So good luck, worked for me!

I have a jenn air oven and stove top. the

Just a suggestion, turn the breaker off to the range and leave off for 30 secs. This may reset the board. That's the easy way. If that doesn't help I'll try to find more on it.

Jenn-Air electric range

my jen-Air has a problem with it continuing to beep. Ive tried to get it to stop by pushing all the buttons. When I pust the off/cancel button it just keeps beeping. Tried the stop timer button and same thing. When I turn on either the bake or convection bake button it automatically just shuts off by itself. It is approx 10-13 years old. HELP, or please tell me to get a new one.

Look on the back of the oven for a tech sheet. This will tell you what these codes mean. It may be the oven temp. sensor that is bad and they are easy to replace. Sometimes they check ok at room temp. but fail at higher temps. and will shut the oven down. The temp. sensor is usually in the upper left hand side of the oven and looks like metal probe about 6-8 inches long. Hope this helps.
