Hi,

The most common solution to the problem you are describing is removing taking apart and cleaning the pilot assembly. It is common that a pilot will stay lit with a marginal flame until the burners come on this creates a draft as the burners begin to vent and draws the soft inadequate pilot flame away from the thermocouple.

If problem still persists, you need to change the thermocouple.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Get the pilot light sensor replaced as the burn down with use and if they are just out of spec the sensor cools and shuts off the gas flow for safety

CAN YOU MANUALLY LIGHT A DOMETIC RM2652 PROPANE FRIDGE IN A 2006 TRAILER

It will not light manually as the ignition probe is electronically controlled. If it doesn't stay lit normally then it will more then likely not stay lit when trying to light manually.

On my dometic refrigerator, modle# rm36e, prod # 9264530, ser # 7090209 the piolt lite will not stay on when I let go of the button

Just like with any older pilot light gas appliance, your refrigerator has a thermocouple which senses heat from the pilot and sends an electrical signal to the pilot valve when it is properly lit. I suspect this thermocouple has gone bad. It will look like a probe sticking into the area of the flame from the pilot and will unscrew from some sort of mounting bracket and have a wire on the other end that plugs into a connector. Generic versions may be available at home appliance repair centers but original replacement would be the best choice. RV repair centers and supply stores will carry it. Do an online search for RV repair supplies or more specific search for Dometic repair centers.

Light pilot on Royal deep fryer. Pilot will not stay lit. Second fryer has larger pilot have no trouble keeping it lit. How can I adjust the pilot so that it will stay lit?

there is a small adjustment screw on the gas valve, turn it clockwise to increase pilot,if that does not work the vent cap on the gas regulator on the back of the unit could be stopped up,remove that cap ,clean out or replace unit can operate without it just fine.If you increase the pilot and it still wont stay lit replace the thermocouple

Model 211 Dometic, can not keep pilot lit, do I have to have it hooked up to 12 volt

Dometics work on propane, 12 volt or 110 volts, if pilot won't stay lit then you prob have a control board defective. Apply 12 volts and see if pilot stays lit, then you will know.

Dometic RM2193 Works on 120V, but not on gaz. I succeded in cleaning the burner jet and I get a flame. It ligth well now but the flame very small. The frig doesn't cool. Help ?

These fridges require that the control switches be in the correct position for the power source you want to use. If you try to operate the fridge on gas and have the electric 120V-AC switch on, all you'll get is the gas pilot light to stay lit. Also, when running on gas, the electric has to be off.

Here's a link to the manual for your unit. Print a copy and save an electronic one for future use, in case you lose your printout.

Hope having the manual helps you to get the fridge working on all the power sources you need! Best regards!

Will not stay lit

The pilot sequence is designed to run for 45 seconds. It could be that the thermocouple is not triggering the cycle once the pilot is lit. I am having the same problem and intend to replace the thermocouple and then give it another go. The fridge works fine on electric but stopped working on gas last week.
