Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

Hi. The water flow is very slight. I have changed the filter to no avail. I have well water and suspect that something might be clogged or there must be a pump someplace? The water flow into back thru the tubeing is good. Disconnected the water line above the door and the flow is slight, so the clog must be located between the filter and that point above the door-left side. I see there is an access panel below the filter on the back wall inside the refridge. Clog must be in there someplace? Thanks, Jim.

You have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser water line and then see how fast the water comes out when you try the dispenser. If it's slow here there is a valve our water supply problem. If it's normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the food.

Kenmore washer water not filling

there is a inline mesh filter at the tap end of the hose but it is more that likely that the tap washer need replacing
it is possible that the inlet solenoid valve is not operating properly
if you have separate hot and cold water hoses and taps then either tap should produce a full flow when set if no taps get a full slow when selected , indicates a problem power board

Water doesn't come out.

you should have water at the connection in back of the fridgewhen you disconnect it, don't completely disconnect i.. but loosen it enough to
see if water flows..if so then a sensor that activates the water for icemaker or water flow may be the prob.

Water is dripping from the filter inside the refridge

If your filter is clogged, proper water flow can't happen. First, check your connection - sometimes the connector can get bent ever so slightly - if properly connected, water filter is probably clogged. Pls turn water supply OFF, before disconnecting any lines.

Hi, I have a KitchenAid KSSS48QDX05 refrigerator. I am no longer getting water at the door or to ice maker. I am thinking the cause is a clogged water filter (ten years old, has never been changed). ...

There is no filter on your refrigerator. I suspect the valve is bad. It is located behind the lower kick plate and is easily replaced.

Water dispensor is not working. ice maker does work. new filter

If the filter is the only change made.. look at the new filter.. are all the 'seals' etc removed? so water can flow through it? is it installed in the proper direction? .. .. or did you replace the filter because no water was flowing? If that is the case.. and the filter is installed correctly.. something is blocking water flow.. maybe a frozen water line or clogged water line follow the water line from the dispenser end in the door, back to it's source. If the line is white- try to run a thin wire into it to see if it is clogged if it is clear, look for a blockage. If no blockage.. then it is blocked in the 'pump' or valve area or the pump/valve for the water dispenser is bad. there is some kind of lever to tell the water to flow when you put a glass under spigot.. check that- to see if it is stuck ( my ref door light switch likes to get stuck) .. good luck.

The cuisinart repeated;y clogs and sprays water

The two most common reasons for overflow have to do with the carafe lid and the filter basket - they key to smooth flow with this coffee maker is making sure the filter basket and carafe lid are making the proper contact with each other so that the center knob on the carafe lid pushes slightly up on the filter basket spring. Make sure the carafe lid is completely closed. Make sure the filter basket is pushed all the way down. Make sure you are not using the gold tone filter and a paper filter at the same time. For some reason, I get better results when the handle of the carafe is resting against the right side wall. If everything is in place, I would suspect a problem with either the filter basket being clogged or some problem with the carafe lid - call Cuisinart as they should be able to order these parts for you.

Motor starts and pump is not working. No water is flowing at all..what do i need to do?

Water is supposed to flow slightly through the pump without it running so disassemble the wand and cut on water supply, see if water comes out of the wand on-off handle. The motor does not have to be running. Got water flowing? YES - clean out the wand filter or nozzle hole. A partially clogged filter will prevent hi pressure activation.
NO? disassemble pump and clean out chamber paths.

Also - A pressure pump is not suppose to be running and not used for over ten minutes. The pump can overheat from lack of water passing through and damage the pump seals. A clogged wand is the same as not using it while you try to figger out why it doesn't have high pressure. I found my clogged filter and stopped up nozzle but haven't gotten my real high pressure back yet. Sears doesn't sell the valve seal kit but someone does.

Low flow from water dispenser

hi, this can be because of the filter. when the water is flowing threw the filter, it is sent threw many channels inside the filter before it reaches the dispenser. this slows it down a bit. this is quite normal but, if it's slowed down to a dribble, i suspect a water valve malfunction or you may need to change the filter.

Jenn air Mdl#jcd2389ges Very slow water dispenser

You will probably find that if you have a water filter in your model refrigerator that is is clogged. Replace the filter and voila, good flow again. You probably also have small or hollow or chip ice cubes as well, if your filter is clogged.
To save the cost of the filter you would need to check to make sure you are getting strong water flow to the solenoid valve located in the bottom rear of your refrigerator.
I hope I helped, supertechks
