Hello nk0n73
If background is your problem, change the background to a lighter color by doing the following:

  • Right click on empty area of the desktop.
  • Left click on the Personalise or Properties
  • Click on Desktop background
  • Click on "change the color"
  • Choose a lighter color
  • Press Ok
Instead of changing the background color, you can replace the logo with an image of your own.
Hope this will help

This logo appears when the Microsoft OS installed on your computer has not been properly activated with a product key. This prevents Microsoft XP and Vista from installing Windows Updates like security patches and upgrades to Windows software.

You can find out more about the Windows Genuine Advantage program here. http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ProgramInfo.aspx?displaylang=en&sGuid=351e32a4-5bee-4142-9d83-67cfbb4c521d

If you think you have a valid copy of XP or Vista installed, call Microsoft tech support. Be prepared to provide the license key. If you PC was purchased as a package deal with XP or Vista installed, the key will be on a sticker on the side or back of your PC. If you XP or Vista was installed after purchase, the license key is stickered to the packaging the OS came in.
