wireless mouse for laptop was working fine, but now the green light on the receive isn't lit, it just flashes briefly when inserted into the USB port. Re-syncing doesn't work
Try disconnecting all external devices and reboot the unit. ( Includeind the wireless mouse. )
Next make sure your wireless network is also turned off.
Plug in your wireless recv. to a USB port. ( USB2 )
Flip the mouse over and look for a reset button on the bottom. If you have this reset button, reset it.
Allow you unit to find and reload the device drivers for your wireless mouse or load from manf. disks.
Check and see if the recv. is getting a signal.
Afterwards, you can plugin your other devices and turn on the wireless modem or network.

Is there anything that wears out or goes dead in the Receiver? Can't get the receiver to light or my computer to regconize it. Do I need the installation CD for it to work? I was told it was Plug-n-Play. NOT.

It was working great. Now when I take the little USB thing out of the bottom, the red light goes off instead of on. When the USB thing is attached halfway, the light stays on, but when I remove it completely to plug it into my computer, the red light goes off. I have tried changing batteries, but it doesn't seem to help.
