my panasonic pt50lc14 says the air filter needs to be cleaned and the manual says only a technician can fix it, how do I fix it myself?

It means clean out all dust and dirt blocking Airway, yes you can do it yourself take small paint brush and remove debris.Clean off and around Lamp for starters, all Fans that may have dust and dirt on them.
