Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturers website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. OR Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds

Choose this folder and then click "OK." Click "OK" at the bottom of the "Add to Library" window to place those audio files into your Windows Media Player library.

Click "Sync" at the top of the program.

Plug the MP3 player into the computer.

Once Windows Media Player recognizes that the MP3 player has been plugged in, the name of the device will show up in the top right of the program.

Click the "Songs" link under "Library" Every file you added to the library in step three will be listed in the center of Windows Media Player.

Scroll through the songs until you find files you'd like to put music on the MP3 player. Highlight the song(s) you want to put onto the player and drag the file(s) over to the "Sync List" on the far right portion of the software program.

Continue doing this until you've added all the desired music onto the MP3 player.

Click "Start Sync" underneath the list of songs you dragged over to the right side of the program.

I'm trying to add music and videos

Xbox 360 1) Insert the Music Disk into the 360.

2) A screen should appear with it showing a visualization picture and showing the tracks (songs).
If it doesn't appear, go to the dashboard scroll across to the Multimedia section and go to Music.

3) Up the top of the screen it says options like "Burn and Rip".
Choose "Rip" and it'll copy the songs from the disk onto the 360. Give it time to finish.

4) And it should say your done. And it's saved onto your 360.

To listen while playing; When you are in the game, press the xbox guide button (the X button in the middle of the controller that has the green light) and wait till that screen pops up on the side of the screen.
Then Scroll down to where it says (I think it says Music) but you'll see the "Pause, Play and Skip etc... music buttons, and choose "Select Music" and then it'll expand and take you to the music library (In your hardrive) And just choose the song.
And it'll take you back to the gamer tag picture, like before, and press the Xbox guide button and you're back to your game - while the song plays throughout.

And it wont take you away from your game.
Hope I helped ?

Playstation 3 ok, you can put music from a cd onto a ps3. heres how.
put the cd you want into the ps3 then go to music then go to audio cd. instead of x to view the tracks hit triangle and select copy. the ps3 can take songs from a cd and put it on the hard drive

you can take songs from the computer and put it on a ps3, heres how.

first, you need a flash drive (if ur not tech savvy, its a lil usb thing that holds information. make sure its a decent size ( 1gb would be best but more or less is ok). then go to my computer on the computer and you should see removable disk. click that. now drag and drop all the songs you want to move to your ps3. once ur done, take the flash drive out and put it in the ps3. go to music and select usb device, however hit triangle and hit display all and it will show you all the music files. hit triangle again and select copy multiple and get all the songs you want from the flash drive

and yes, you can download songs from the internet of a ps3, heres how

heres some of the sites i use
mp3realm.org yourmp3.net emp3world.com
find a song you like and click the song link. when you do, hover over the link and hit triangle then go to file and select save target. certain files cant be downloaded because keep in mind that it needs to be an.mp3 file for it to be directly downloaded and ready to use (and since you cant rename files on a ps3, you can always download it to a flash drive and change the file name on the pc and then put it back on the ps3)

How do I downloald songs on my new MP3

If you are downloading songs onto your player from Cd's that you have, you will first need to copy the music from your Cd's into a folder. Put all of your songs into your My Music folder. With some players, you can simply navigate to where your music is, right click on the file, select Copy, then navigate to where your player is and select paste.

Your player should be hooked up to your computer via your usb cord, which should have come with your player. If you are not sure where your mp3 player is on your computer, try going into My Computer. You should see something like Local Disk (C:), Removable Disk (F:) or Removable Disk (J:). My players usually show up in Removable Disk (J:). If you are lucky you will see the mp3 player file as soon as you go into My Computer. But if not, click on different removable files until you find yours.

Once you have found your player, click to go into it. You should see a list of folders. There should be one that says, Music. Go into that. Past the music file that you previously copied by right-clicking and selecting Paste. Your music file will transfer.

You can also transfer your music files via Windows Media Player. To do this, start up the Windows Media Player. At the top of the player you should see Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn and Sync. Click Sync. If you have music already on your computer (everyone does) you will see the songs already on your computer. Select your song and then drag it over to where it says Sync List. Make sure your device is already connected to your computer! You should see your player in the Sync List. Then click the button that says Start Sync. Thats it!

Cannot get music to transfer to device

Hi klvogel1, I had the same problem, only I have Windows XP. Here's how I solved it. Connect you device to your computer, go to my computer and find the new device (should be under F drive) open the file and the open the" Audio" folder. This is the folder you will download to. Open your Windows Media Player then open your Music file, High lite any song or all songs, right click, and open up file location YOU CAN NOT SYNC TO THE DEVICE, you must copy and paste or cut and paste to the Audio folder of the device NOT THE MUSIC FOLDER. This will work, it took me since Dec 27 to get this answer. Hope it works for you

Do I have to have software for a e260 mp3 to delete and add new song, video, etc. If so where can I get the software. Thanks

No,

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps.

Adding Music To My Sansa e250

I never use Windows Media to add music to my sansa... If you want all music to show up click on my computer and then click on the icon for your sansa. there may be a folder that says music but if not it is a hidden folder. if this is so you must go to tools, then folder options, and then the tab that says view. under this will be an option that says hidden files and folders and click show hiden fles and folders and OK. this should allow you to see the music folder. from here on you can just copy and paste all files.

Downloading music onto a mp3player

I think I fugured it out. I think this should set the thing up for you. Turn the unit on. Push the button in and hold for the count of three. Wait as you count to two then push the buton in quickly. The screen should display a different "MUSIC" sign. Now the tiny file type in the upper left of the screen should say "mp3". Now make sure you are loading mp3 files. Be sure the unit is ON when you connect it to the USB port. Drag and drop files onto the mp3 player. I got it to accept 5 songs so far. I am working with Windows xp. Hope it helped!

Songs are not being show (not getting detected) in the music list

k i had the same problem twice,

the first time i couldnt fix it because i ended up getting a device read error when i tried to acces it in my computer, but i think whatever caused that was different than the second time.

this time my device retained all the songs origionally on it but wouldnt reckognize any new songs. In addition to that, when i deleted all the songs off the player and only put a couple back on the player didnt register those either. so it would seem to me that it is a problem with the device's database refreshing algorithim...although thats just a guess.

neways...to fix it i copied all the data & folders off the sansa (including the .txt and .sdk files) and stored them on my desktop. After that I tried the e200 firmware upgrader available at sandisk.com

After messing around for 2 hours trying to figure out what was going on i deleted all my music, videos, recordings and pictures off the device and proceeded to format it in msc mode.

after the format was complete, i re-copied the data i had backedup on my desktop and pasted it back onto the sansa.

it seems to have worked...but then again i still don't know what caused the problem so it may not work for you. (i think it may have been something to do with one of my music files since both instances happened after i uploaded the same 5 songs onto the player)

also, i had numerous virtual folders & files that had conflicting sizes and would not open when i clicked on them (windows says they had +4GB sizes but properties says 0B also when clicked i get a file not found error).

hope this helps.
