no speakers near the set and there's no mention of configuration in the i signed up for this service so that the first step wouldn't be "sending it to a authorized sony repair guy...".....pretty tough with a 60" t.v. to restate the has too much green and i can't seem to make adjustments to correct it. so, any other suggestions? thanks

same issue here. i saw somewhere online that there was a widespread problem and a class action suit against sony. Repairs supposedly covered under extended warranty. Will research further.

There is a class action suit that has been settled on the tint problem. I had my set repaired by Sony service and it is better than new.

There is a posibility that there is a magnet near... see if there are big speakers around others that aren't the one that has built in..

the other posibility is that it has loss configuration... try to check the manual for proper configuration or send it to a authorized sony repair guy so he might flash firmware.

hope that helped

you also have to be conscious that sometimes there will be matters that are impossible to handle with out the right equipment.. plus tvs these days have components that are so small that is really hard for people to handle..

there is a big possibility that a color channel is broken. since screens use a Spectrum of Red Green Blue, then there must be something that needs calibration..

since when did this problem started? have you moved a bit the feed connection? how old is the tv?

there are also other thing that might cause this.. it could be a bent pin on some connection, have you checked all connections?
have you also tried degaussing the screen?

I have the Sony KDS- 60A2020 60 inch TV. Recently, my picture has appeared more yellowish. Everyone on it looks like there dark yellowish or have fairly dark (bronze) sun tans. I changed my lamp yesterday...

I have a older 2006 SXRD rear projection TV. I had the same problem after the TV warmed up this yellow tint started in the corner and crawled its way down the TV. It turned out that Sony had a recall on the optic block of the TV. If you replaced the Lamp and adjusted the color this kinda sounds like the same problem. Here is a link explaining it. In this article it shows up as a green haze and blob, but in my TV it manifested as a yellow tint.

No picture and buzzing sound on Sony XBR Wega

Is the bulb light flashing ? - Sony's bulb light is very accurate in telling you if the bulb is bad. The buzzing sound could be from the balist trying to strike the lamp. You also may want to open the lamp door and see if the bulb is shattered.

Sony 57 Inch XBR 2001

I don't have the XBR, but on my sony, using the cable box remote, I had to go into menu/display/etc. and mark the 1080i, 720p, and 480i settings. you usually get a "if you can see this" comment if your tv accepts the settings. for standard tv i set the screen to normal, and when the upper channels go to HD, they auto go to full screen. Sounds like you are using the component cable, and also make sure you are on the video port of remote, and the the TV input. The above worked for mine. Hope it helps.
