Below are the tips to you :
Digital camera use high current to make it works. Your 2 units battery 2500 mAh are normally worth for your camera.
Your battery will get its full capacity after charged for 13-15 hours from designated charger ( I supposed you to use energizer charger). In your camera set your flasher to auto mode. This will save the power rather than use the flasher manually / all time.
If after fully charged the battery and you still get the same performance. You may have wear down battery and need replacement.
New battery required 24 hours charging before use at first time.
Now install your new batteries.
If you still get same problem, you've got problem with your camera internally.
Yeah your correct there might be a problem also in the battery., are you using the battery came form the box of your camera? or using the recommnded battery KODAK Li-Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery KLIC-7001 If yes you may call kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325, It means that your camera needs of service
OMG!!! If you still have the camera, try this. I read in one of these forums to spray a burst of brake cleaner in there and blow dry for a few seconds and believe it or not, it worked! That's after me taking it apart to make sure the connectors weren't loose, using the pencil eraser and banging it. I am not making this up. It was my last resort and it worked. Good luck!
I bought mine 2 1/2 yrs ago too. Found this solution on this site and tried it. It worked perfectly.
Turn to TV mode, set the exposure to 15 seconds by pushing the little "arrow dial" until you have 15"
Push the button to take the picture.
Wait 7 seconds from when you push the button, then turn over and open the battery door while it is "taking the picture."
Close the battery door and turn back on.
I did this three times and the last time, it worked and the iris became unstuck.
Then I took a million pictures to get the iris moving.
If you have used this camera more than three months Try changing the battery. Before using fully charge the battery. Let the battery consumed in your camera fully then you charge again. Otherwise the battery life will reduce. Try this option before trying any other option.
I have the same camera and have had the same problem. The first time I had to change batteries I could not find lithium batteries and ended up trying alkaline batteries. I was only able to take 1 or 2 pictures before they would die and the camera would shut down. When I switched back to lithium batteries, everything worked fine. I hope this helps.
