Galaxy dx959 will not receive. Speaker is working. S meter is showing incoming signal.

the over power doides may be blown. you should start there .they should be marked D-1 and D-2. you may want to replace them with diodes of a higher rating.

Need a drive for ford galaxy left hand side

Hello,
  • I assume you are saying you need a driver (transistor). 2SC2314. I get mine from little diode.

  • It's a simple drop in transistor so this is a quick fix.

Whitch diode to clip to put a swing kit in it .

How high do you want to swing? 30 or 40 feet high enough. Clip every diode you see including the surface mount ones. This mod will give you big swing.

Hi, does anyone know how to connect an LED to replace the original meter lamp on a Galaxy DX 959?, or please refer me to a site where to find this information. Thank you so much. Osvaldo

LED are diodes that operate around 2volts DC. A resistor must be soldered in series with anode or cathod side of diode if connecting to 12 volts DC. Anode to ground....if unsure start with 10k resistor and check voltage and work your way down to around 1.8 volts is ideal
