Can't figure out how to take machine apart to inspect it

I had roaches infesting my machine. I put it in a large trash bag, sealed the bag, and used a fogger spray to kill the roaches. My question is is there any way I can take the machine apart to clean the inside? I do not want to use it until I make sure there are no roaches inside the machine. I can't figure out how to take it apart

Those studs sticking out of the back are headless screws. In additional to the other visible screws, you have to remove them with a pair of pliers or dremel a slot in them and use a flat head screwdriver.

Hi Lflaher
If you can't see any screws then the machine uses snap fasteners.
Until you see one of the clips & their spacing it's hard to figure out.
Use a thin clean paint scraper or credit card type tool to lift & pry one of the plastic panels until you see or feel or hear the plastic clip pop. After the first one the task becomes easier.
Take photos as you go for use on re assembly.

Good Luck

Does boiling water kill bed bugs

If you mean by washing then yes, if you mean by simply spraying then not needs to be a constant stream of hot water, the best method is can hire or buy these for a reasonable price:

Bag and launder (122°F/50?C minimum) affected items. Smaller items that cannot be laundered can sometimes be de-infested by heating. Individual items, for example, can be wrapped in plastic and placed in a hot, sunny location for at least a few days (the 122°F/50?C minimum target temperature should be monitored in the center-most location with a thermometer). Bedbugs also succumb to cold temperatures below freezing, but the chilling period must be maintained for at least two weeks. Attempts to rid an entire home or apartment of bed bugs by raising or lowering the thermostat will be entirely unsuccessful.
  • Wash all linen on hot, dry on hot setting. Gather all linen, cloth and leather bags, mattress covers, clothing, teddy bears... etc. Machine wash on hot - wash the laundry bag also. Tumble dry on hot. Steam kills bed bugs. Some metropolitan areas offer bed bug laundry and dry cleaning services which have the added benefits of proven methods for killing bed bugs and bagging or storing cleaned items so they do not become re-infested while the home is still being exterminated.
  • If something cannot be washed or discarded (such as a valuable leather purse) spray with non-toxic bed bug spray (such as diatomaceous earth), seal in a plastic bag and leave for a few months.
  • Dry clean to remove odor if need be.

How do I get rid of bed bugs in my sleeping bag?

Heat is theonly way to kill bed bugs that are in your sleeping bag. You need to wash thesleeping bag on a hot wash (see the instructions on the label and don't go muchover their recommended temp). Then stick your bag in the dryer and hopefully thatwill finish the bugs off completely.

How do I clean the mould that has built up in the rubber seal in my Electrolux washing machine.

My wife says to spray bleach on the mold with a plastic spray bottle. You can put a piece of plastic or trash bag over the floor to protect it. Be careful not to get the bleach on any clothes or carpet, or anything that it will damage. You might use an old toothbrush to lightly work the bleach into the mold. Then rinse the rubber seal with water to get the bleach off. Then, you might try leaving the door of the washing machine open so that the moisture inside dries out when you are not using the washer. Best of luck.

I purchased a Seal-A-Meal roll to make my own bags but can't figure out how to use it. I have a model VS108. Is it possible to seal without vacuuming?

On most models of vacuum sealing systems, you cut off the roll the size of bag you need. Slip one open end of the bag just on top of the heating element over it about 1/8-1/4" and press down the lid to seal the bottom of the bag. Fill the bag and then place the open end far enough into the vacuum cavity over the heating element and close the lid and press down and hold until the cycle finishes. If you don't want a vacuum, just put enough bag material to cover the heating element but not into the vacuum cavity. Hope this helps

My Hayward super pump is leaking water where the two large sections come together with six 9/16 bolts at the very top. I replaced the large flat rubber seal and even tried silicone on the faces that come...

Take the two sections apart, remove the seal and put the two sections back together. You will be able to see any gaps if they are warped. A straight edge might work too. Also inspect the surfaces for any cracks. The can get a hairline crack if the sections are tightened to tight, and the seal is out of the grooves. If all is ok, silicone the seal, silicone the grooves, then put the pump back together. This will help keep the seal in place. I just use a pool/spa sealer like Leslies Pool and spa lubricant.

Large rubber door seal came apart

Yes it can be put back on without taking the drum apart. The larger end goes on the drum side. Fit larger end around drum lip make sure it seals all the way around, install spring around seal. Smaller end goes around door opening. Install seal around outter lip and install spring around seal.

Seal-a-meal won't seal

Take apart and see if wires are connected That is what was wrong w/ mine. Soldered wire now works fine.
