    Thanks for that.The solution works up to a point.Pressing hold allows access to the key pad and on pressing 1 the message is about to play when the screen returns to normal mode and the call is terminated.

    All other functions appear normal.No problems with battery.

Ok.are every option working or some functions working.just check the battry charge by charging the unit completely.also it can be internal board fault. ----------- keep updated.thanks.

    if all other functions work properly then its the problem of main board in the device.there is a minute short on it or any of the component has got loose on the board so the particular function which you want is not supporting and other are working.so it also clears that whole internal board is not faulty but a minute short in the circuit is to be checked.you can also take it to the local electronics repair shop who deals with this type of products.they will check the short with the meter and re-solder the faulty component and make the cut re-tracked.
    this will help .thanks.

Hi,

If sounds like DTMF is turned off on your phone. If it is then it is not sending the correct tone over the air which is why nothing happens.
Actually the number you press are usually sent as DTMF tones.

During a call, your phone automatically locks the touch screen to prevent accidental inputs. To unlock, press the Hold key..

During the call just select option and you should see send DTMF, click on the number you want to use and click send..It should send DTMF tones

Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

Hi there

What is the make and model of the device/equipment which has no key pad? It is also possible that a standard touch tone phone may be required in order to call 400. But please let me know the make and model.

Thanks

You can access the answering system remotely by dialing your home telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. To remotely access the answering system
Dial your telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. When the answering system answers, enter the two-digit remote access code (19, unless you have changed it). The answering system automatically announces the number of messages (new or old) if there are any. If there are new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play new messages only. -OR If there are no new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play all old messages. You can also enter the remote commands: Play all messages

If there are no messages in the answering system, the system announces, "You have no message." How to set up voice mail

Verizon's voice mail service accepts messages for you when you are busy, or just don't want to answer the phone. The basic service will record up to 20 messages, with a three-minute maximum per message. The messages are held for 21 days, after which they are deleted automatically. Voice mail is usually included when you first activate your service, and you can check to see that you have voice mail from the "My Verizon" account area on the Verizon website. Once you have established you have voice mail on your account, you can set it up by programming it.

Hello I was wondering how to use the VM acess with my phone. I want to be able to call from a different number and listen to my messages how do I go about doing so

I have a similar model. You need to configure a remote access code on the phone. Then, when you call your phone, you enter the pin after your message starts.

(From the manual)
Using a touch-tone phone, you can call your phone number from outside and access the unit to listen to messages or change answering system settings. The unit's voice guidance prompts you to press certain dial keys to perform different operations.

Remote access code:
A 3-digit remote access code must be entered when operating the answering system remotely. This code prevents unauthorized parties from listening to your messages remotely. The default
setting is "111".

Important:
To prevent unauthorized access to this product, we recommend that you regularly change the remote code.
1 {MENU} {#} {3} {0} {6}
2 Enter the desired 3-digit remote
access code.
3 {SAVE} {OFF}

Below is a link to the manual. The remote access instructions are on page 35.
