Question about Harman Kardon Audio Players & Recorders
In order to access the on-screen display you need to make certain the connection between the Video Monitor Output Jack on the back of the receiver to the "Composite" or "S-Video jack on the TV is correct. You also need to make sure that the correct video source is selected on the video display. There is also an issue with accessing the "OSD" when your using a component display.
I know I had the same difficulty with my HK receiver's OSD.
I had to use the secondary OSD menu. This should show up in the lower display line on the front of the receiver.
When you attempt to use the main OSD menu check the upper display line. It should show the the OSD is in use along with the OSD indicator being lit. If it's not indicating that the OSD is in use it may be a repair issue.
Hope this helps. If not please just repost and include your set up info like TV type and connection types used.
