This is a wild shot but you may still have some shipping blocks inside or especially under the machine. If its new I would call customer support.

Maytag washing machine walks across floor during spin cycle

Did you set the back feet before leveling? On most units to set and lock the back feet you need to pull the top towards you so that the back is raised off the floor, then set it down again, this will release the feet and lock then down. The you level the two front feet. After this is done you must make sure your load is balanced. Distribute the items as evenly as you can in the tub. Once it gets to the spin cycle if its walking or shaking a lot, stop it and redistribute the items more evenly in the tub. Also try not to overload the unit or combining many heavy items with few light ones. If this is a new machine, did you remove the shipping locks from the back before using it? They have plastic strips attached to them, make sure they have all been removed, as well as any shipping bolts.

Washer walks across floor on spin cycle and my level says its level

If the level is registering the machine as level, then you probably have an unbalanced load that is causing it to "walk." When it starts walking, lift the lid, wait until the spinning stops and redistribute the articles in the basket. I hope this helps. Washer shakes bad

You probably have already checked this but since you do not say.........

Is the unit solid and level on the floor........with the leveling legs turned down as low as possible with the lock nuts tight.......?

If you put a glass of water on the dryer next to the washer, can you see the water vibrating when the washer is in spin? You may have weak floors.........Cement floor is the best floor, after that you need to check........

You do not say there is any noise, is the unit walking on the floor?

When new and installing there are shipping bolts and or straps to remove before using......

good luck,
enjoy the weather

The machine is level but the drum spins as if it were not. loud and the machine moves forward

These new front load machines are much heavier and spin much faster than the top load machines. If you have old wood floors in your home or you live in a mobile home, the machine may tend to "walk" or vibrate on the floor. You can try putting something under the machine to help prevent it from walking as it is spinning.

Model MAH9700 - Washer travels across floor in the spin cycle

I suppose that the repairmen would know than I would, but I do know that any washing machine that is not level will walk and vibrate and really shutter on the spin cycle. I would try to level (using a level on the top part of the machine that is flat, if there is such a portion) the machine so that all four feet (pads) are secure with their locking nuts up against the body so that they can't turn and cause the machine to go out of level.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

My Neptune washer (brand new) "walks the floor" during the spin cycle. How do I correct this?

Try to get it completely level and with all four feet firmly on the floor. If it's resting on three feet and/or not level then this is what will happen. The feet should be threaded so you can adjust them easily.

Washer is "walking" during the spin cycle

I have the same Duet that vibrates heavily during spin cycle. Leveled the unit with no success (our unit is mounted on the high base). Long story short, I went to Lowes and purchased a package of 4"X5" self stick foam rubber pads called Grippers by Wasman Consumer Group and paid a low price of $3.50. Since the washer walked forward, I cut one of the two Pads in the package in half, removed the sticky side paper protector and centered a half, sticky side to washer pad, to each front washer pad. The problem was solved.

I made sure the round floor pads of the washer were tight and the unit was level before attaching the Grippers. Hope this helps.

Washer appears to be out of balance

Double check the screws holding the washer to the pedestal to make sure they are tight and make sure all the jam nuts on the leveling legs are tight. Loose jam nuts are the most common cause of this.

If they are tight, loosen the right front leg and screw it up until the weight is off the floor. Then run it back down until it contacts the floor. Put the washer in high spin and tighten it down to the floor until you get the spot where there is the least vibration. Tighten jam nut, and check it again in spin with a load of clothes.

Post back and let me know how this works.

Walking during the spin cycle

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
