Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have an Arthur Martin Electrolox wash n dryer Model AW 2147 Type P6258679 Product No. 91460251600 Ser. No. 147.00050 that works fine except when the dryer stops after a few minutes with an error 10 message. Online that particular model has no manual so I have no idea how to determine what I need to do. Please advise and if I have to get it fixed who fixes these combination washer/dryer machines?

Hi,

The erroe E10 refers to problem with water supply, so check the following things

1. water tap is closed
2. inlet hose squashed or kinked
3. filter in the inlet hose is blocked
.
If all the above said things are set correctly, then try the next solution

  • Unplug the appliance from the wall socket and pull the machine out.
  • Take the lid off.
  • You'll find at the rear, where the water pipe attaches, 3 valves.
  • Take the wires off one of them and use a multimeter to determine if the valve is open circuit. Replace the wires after the test.
  • I'm fairly sure one of the 3 valves is open circuit and this valve is used on the programmes that give the E10 fault. The other valve will be for normal and the 3rd valve is for the dryer condenser.
  • If it tests open circuit or is failing to open when energised, you'll need a new valve assembly
Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

Where can I get a Electrolux dishwasher manual asl64011?

Considering that, this is a appliance of "Arthur Martin" brand, which is sold exclusively in the French market, so I found a user manual only in French.

Can you tell me how old my dryer is model #7684100 Ser#F80521883 model#7684100

The model number supplied may be missing the 3-digit manufacturer's prefix numbers or the product is not covered by this service.
  • Check to ensure the model number is correct and complete and that it is actually a "Kenmore" branded product.

Roper model res6745pqo ser.ms4808124 dryer Dryer works except no heat

You have a bad heater element, or high limit/thermostat. Check your vent for restrictions also. A restricted vent will cause higher heat and thus reduce lifetime on these componants. Rich

    Dryer will not start

If your dryer doesn't work at all, it could be because of problems with:

    Power from the house
    Door switch
    Thermal fuse
    Wiring
Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.
