Your problem sound more like a hardware problem.
Check if your wireless card back light turns ON.
If it doesn't you probably have a faulty card. Need a replacement.

If the green light is ON, then there is a conflict with the assigned IRQ address.
To fix this, go to the BIOS, and select the Auto option on the IRQ assignments, so the computer will dinamically assign it.

Do not forget to rate this answer if it helps.

It is often overlooked during a wireless card setup.
You MUST have an ethernet connection on the PC.
Connect the DSL modem internet line directly to the PC ethernet card.
(NOT the wireless) "I am assuming you are attempting to hook up to a DSL line" This only takes a few seconds for the PC to refresh the DHCP.

The DHCP usually needs to be refreshed and often will fail if you just install the wireless card and software.

You may have to set the router into "bridge mode".
Linksys is pretty easy to work with.
You can also google to find your Router's IP address to change the settings. Be careful in there!

When using Windows, one can release/refresh a machine's DHCP address by opening up a cmd-shell and entering "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew".

Alternative method:
A fast and easy way to do this is to use the control panel. Change the TCP/IP setting to configue Manually. Hit apply. Then change back to configure Using DHCP and hit Apply again.

Good luck

How do i find out witch display driver to disable so i can install new video card

You don't need to disable any driver, unplug, use ESD protection, install Graphics Card, move the monitor cable to the new card,(you may have to boot on the old monitor connection and install driver), install the driver for the new card and reboot plug into the new card. Do your windows updates to obtain the latest driver. You can open the Device Manager, open Display adapters and disable the Intel graphics adapter. Is it a PCI or AGP Graphics Card? Remember: with a Aftermarket Graphics Card it requires more Power/Watts, you should consider a PSU upgrade. You didn't post the Make, Model Graphics Card, usually there is a Min. Power Spec. for the card listed on the box.

My dell gx260 ligth come green if i turn it on but for a few mins time it turn orange why

Do you mean the monitor's power light starts green and then turns orange when you turn it on? Most monitors will go to a power saving mode when they do not get a signal from the computer.

The Dell GX260 has a green power light when on. When the computer is off, the light is off. If it is green and blinking, then the computer is in a power saving mode.

Diagnosis: start with the obvious: is the monitor cable plugged into both the computer and the monitor (if not permanently connected to the monitor)? Are you connected to the active port? (You can add a video graphics card in most desktops. The motherboard video port usually needs to be disabled to use the card ports. If you plug in the monitor cable to the disabled port, it won't work.) Is the monitor set to the correct input? (This applies if the monitor has several ports. In that case, there will be a Source or Input button on the monitor.) Is the computer on? The GX260 has the power button on the front. (Other computers have the power button on the top.) There is also the power supply switch on the back which needs to be on.

Next try a different data cable between the monitor and the computer (if you can). Try a different monitor. If a second monitor works, than the monitor has a damaged main board. If the second monitor doesn't work, then the video graphics adapter has probably failed. Replace the add-on card, if in use, then boot in the safe mode to remove the old graphics driver. Then install the correct driver for the graphics adapter.

Note: the computer and the monitor should both be off when you connect the cables. Then turn on the monitor first and set it to the correct source before turning on the computer.)

I hope this helps.

I bought a video card so I could hook up a second monitor. When I have the video card plugged in, neither monitor comes on, however in my original monitor I can see my mouse move but the page is black.

to have 2 monitors connected -your new card needs 2 connectors-and you have to disable the onboard one-be sure the correct driver is installed for the new card

Wireless Adapter

try inserting the adapter in a different NIC slot. I suggest install the software first before you install the hardware. How? make sure that you uninstall the linksys software before you do it. Restart the desktop, then run the cd first - then it will prompt you to insert the adapter - that's the time that you'll insert the card (make sure you turn off the pc). then restart it, look for the linksys icon in your system tray (bottom right hand) it's a green square icon, right click on it then select open the monitor - go to site survey - you'll find your network there then connect to it.

Hope this helps.

Cant get Wireless card to connect to netopia wireless router

There are some things you might try.

The Belkin card will come with third party software you can disable this utility by right clicking on the icon in the Taskbar and choosing "Use Windows Zero Configuration".

Then you will need to go into Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services >> Wireless Zero Configuration >> Right click and check that the service is starting automatically >> click on Start >> Apply - that should then detect your wireless network and the internet.

Video Card not recognized on PCV-RS410

Hi, have you check the status of the video card in the window device manager.
1. Right clicking My Computer icon on your desktop
2. Select Manage option from menu
3. Select Device Manager
Please verify if there is any yellow color exclamation appears on the left side of your new video card adaptor. If so you need to install a driver. I am assuming your pc is running window xp and video card adaptor is window xp compatible.
Hope this help.

Sounds disorted and skipping

Check that you are using the correct audio drivers for your PC. Eventually you can buy a PCI sound card, which is quite inexpensive, and install it on the motherboard. It can replace the sound card integrated with the motherboard. once the new card is installed the old card must be set on ' do not use this device (disable)' from device manager.
