I just put in a brand new battery and it won't start. Absolutely NOTHING! Any quick suggestions? Fuse?

It can be the fuse link from the battery which could have failed and so will not power the igntion circuit. Please use a multimeter to trace the +12 to the fuse box and from the Ignition circuit.
Make sure the GROUND connection is good from the battery to the chassis.

I turn on my camera (sany model # VPC-503)and it turns on fine with out the memory card but when I install the memory card and turn it on it has a 1800 # and say memory card error. I just bought the memory...

Check compatibilitie SD card with your camera features, some SDHC dont work in some models.
Additionally, try to format first your memory card in other camera, its possible that need re-format in your camera after this jbo in other device.

1. Check batteries.
2. Connect camera to an AC adapter.
3. Remove all batteries, disconnect AC adapter, wait a minute, reinsert batteries and reconnect adapter. Turn on camera.

Take batteries out and clean the base of the battery compartment with a pencil eraser do the same with the battery compartment cover contact's now try. If that fail hold the battery compartment tight then turn on. If it comes on then - open the compartment and lay a piece of foil across the batteries and close the lid. does it work? No to bad it dies but you should have a warranty- do you have other proof of purchase?
