I had a friend remove the top head to look at the rollers. Now I cannot get the top head back on the four screw posts correctly. How do you adjust the head to move up and down? James

Can you tell me how many turns to put on the spring tension on the bottom of the head? I am going to try your method today and see if I can get it to lign up. Bit of knowledge never let a friend that smiles before starting to work help you. It is probably something they know nothing about and you are in real trouble...Thanks

Its bit trick to fix it back once opened. I will explain.: Initially just concentrate to get one screw location on position.then try the one which is on the cross side of it and not the adjacent one.once this two get in bit alignment.put up some pressure on the top .the other two will automatically get aligned after this.also see that you dont fix a single screw completely at a time.keep on fixing them one by one a bit or they will get misaligned. hope this helps, thanks.keep updated and please rate and accept the solution.

you cannot say that particular turns will put appropriate tension.you have to just see to it manually that it creates proper push on it.follow the above procedure given in my first comment.
keep updated and please do rate the solution positively.

LG dryer Model DLE3777W Very loud & rumbling, Drying times longer and not spinning as fast

Loud and rumbling usually means that at least one of the drum support rollers is not turning freely. It is a bit of work to replace them.
1. disconnect power to machine. 2. remove top by taking 3 phillips head screws out of back edge of top, then standing in front of machine, use palms of hands to sharply push top back about 2 inches and lift off. 4. remove control panel (you do not have to disconnect wires to it, just lay it on top of machine.) 5. remove screws at 4 and 8 O'clock positions behind door, screws along top edge of front panel, electrical plugs to light and door switch, and by tilting panel forward, the plug near the bottom for the sensor, allowing the front panel to be removed and set aside. 6. remove 2 phillips head screws from each side of drum support, allowing support to be lifted up about a half inch and removed, giving access to the front support rollers. 7. Release belt and remove drum to access rear drum rollers. 8. replace offending rollers and re-assemble.
I've skipped over a few minor steps which should be obvious as you go.

The fridge is unlevel front to back. The front is relatively too high. How do I level the beast?

The front should be a "little" higher than the back, in order that the doors will close softly when pushed past a certain point, and to assist in sealing the door to the cabinet. There is a levelling mechanism on the front rollers, turning a screw or bolt head clockwise will raise the rollers and counterclockwise will lower the rollers. If no rollers, then post type feet that screw in and out for height. Most have rollers in front and these can be adjusted with the screw or bolt that you can see in the front behind the lower cabinet cover. It should lift and pull straight out to remove, and you will then see the adjustment bolts or screws. You should be about half a bubble out of true level for the doors to seal well and close softly.

Carpet roller will not turn. Vacuum still sucks up dirt

You may need to replace the belt that drives the roller head. They wear out and break, or maybe it has just come loose. Also check for string and thread wound around the roller wheel axles, that is a common "culprit"

Need to replace roller's on LG Tromm Gas front load dryer. The back seems to be stamped to the side panels. How do you take apart the dryer to get at the inner workings?

Unplug power cord. Remove phillips head screws on the bottom side of the "L" bracket on the back side of the dryer's top. Use the flat sides of your hands to sharply push back on the dryer's top, sliding it back about 2 inches and then lifting it off. Remove screw from top corner front corners and pry control locking tabs off from along top edge. (watch for sharp edges) Swing control panel up onto top of dryer. Remove the two screws at the bottom side of the door opening and the four screws along the top of the front panel. Unplug the light, door switch, and also the moisture sensor (by the bottom of the drum) then remove front panel. Remove four screws holding front drum support and lift up on it a bit to remove. Look at how the belt goes around the motor and pulley before removing, then take out drum. You will need to remove the phillips screws from behind dryer to remove the rear drum support assembly, allowing you to get to the nuts on the back rollers. First time job: maybe 2 hours. Second time: maybe a half hour, tops.

Water leaks under washer on floor - olderGE profile

I see Eric C was correct, that you did not post your correct model number. You did say older GE, and from your description it sounds like you need to replace the WH23X42 water pump (about $50). It is one 1/4 inch clamp on the bottom holding on the flexible drive, three 5/16 hex head screws mounting the pump body to machine, and four squeeze style spring clamps holding the hoses. (be ready to catch the water when you remove hoses)

Treadmill adjustment on bowflex 5000tc

There are two hexagonal screws on either side of the front rollers, and four inset hexagonal screws on the back rollers. Turn it on the lowest speed while turning the ones in front, one at a time. You'll see the tread move from one side to the other. Tightening the screws bring the rollers out, pulling the rubber tread taught, and to the left or right, depending on which screw you're turning at the time. The treads should roughly be the same tension, adjusting both inside and outside front screws for each tread. If you have the dual rear rollers, you'd then have to stop the machine after finishing the fronts and tighten the four inset hexagonal screws on each of the rear rollers. No adjustment per se, just tighten them. If you don't, you'll have a sort of clunking, or clicking noise from the imbalance. The single rear roller is a little different, and the adjustment I believe, can be found on this site:

Good luck.

Flicker on playback

Could be tracking, dirty / faulty heads, or mis-alligned guide rollers.

First, adjust the tracking on the player during playback. This is done by pressing P+ or P- on the remote control.

If this doesn't work, use a video head cleaner. This consists of a video cassette and fluid. Follow the instructions with the cleaner.

If this still doesn't help, and you are confident in opening up the VR550, you could cleaner the heads manually.

Disconnect from the mains.

Remove the screws from the back and sides of the VCR.
Gently ease the lid off the machine.
Locate the large silver coloured head drum towards the back of the machine. There are four small receptors around the side of the drum. These are the video heads.
Take a small piece of clean white paper about 1.5 inches square. (Copier paper)
Hold the paper square over 1 finger and rub each head in turn. Keep the head near the centre of the paper so as not to catch the heads with the edges of the paper.
Check the paper for dirt from the heads.
Reconnect the player and try a tape. If the problem is still there, try cleaning again.

If none of this works, insert a tape NOT recorded on this machine (Mis-alligned rollers affect recording as well as playback) and play. Locate the rollers which guide the tape around the mechanism. Particulary either side of the head drum.

The rollers have adjustments on the top, which can be turned to move the guide up and down slightly. This is a fiddly job, and over adjustment could cause the tape edge to be damaged.
Adjust the rollers to get a clear picture. It is mainly trial and error.

If all fails then the video is probably destined for the skip.

If you need a replacement, www.cheapestelectrical.co.uk , will sell you a VR550 at a very good price.

How to open the dryer and replace the belt

all dryers open from the top so open the dryer door and look inside the top edge you will see two screws . remove the screws and lift the top panel . the front panel has two screws on the top one on the left and one on the right remove them both and lift up the front panel to remove it. the only way you can install the new belt is removeing the front panel because the belt goes around the drum from the front. once you remove the old belt out put the new one in . the belt goes around the drum from the front and then to the motor and idle roller . you can reach the idle roller from the front left corner or from the back of the dyer? i like to install them from the back cause its more easy. in the back of the dyer where the hose goes connected to the blower is the top with four screws remove the hose from the blower tube and remove the four screws. after you remove everything you should be able to see the dryer motor and idle rooler put the belt over the motor first then over the idle rooler .always make sure when you do this the dyer is unpluged and after your done plug it back and turn it on to make sure it runs correctly . if it runs ok put everything back together again.

Printer 1600 JAM

Assuming you cannot lift the rear door and pull out, you will need to remove the back cover (take out the four screws) and take out the fuser module (it has heat temperature warnings on it so let it cool down before handling). The module has two sets of wires on either side that need to be disconnected. Four screws hold the module in place and need to be removed. The paper usually gets stuck in there. After removing the module, you may need to remove the small rear roller from the module by gently prying it up and out after removing four additional screws on the fuser that hold the metal bracket on the fuser in place. Removing these four screws (two on top, two on side) allows you to slide the bracket up and down and more easily access the small roller that needs to be removed so you can get all the paper out (it will likely be accordion-folded and really compressed in there).
