Question about Digital Cameras
Hi i have a fuji f11 which I have used to take all my photos and save them to the hard drive on my pc (they seem to be in jpeg format) I have tried using fuji FAQ to transfer images back to camera with usb connected to camera but I seem to be doing somethimg wrong. The fuji finepix software does not seem to give me the correct options in the image utilisation menu that the FAQS suggest. Any ideas?

In your case it seems like the software is the problem, try uninstalling it completly and reinstalling it back after a restart of your machine, also check this:
If this does not solve the problem then try using any other software for downloading pics from your camera or simply use the windows built in feature like:
Going to my computer, and check if you can see your camera drive there and simply copying and pasting from there. (see if this helps you).
I hope it helps you!

When you recieve a "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" message, this indicates that your memory may be temporarily corrupted. This can be due to not formatting your memory card on a consistent basis. Most consumers will use the "delete all" feature and continue to take pictures. By doing this, the file format of the card may become unstable.
We recommend formatting your memory card in your camera after saving the images from your previous shooting session. Once a memory card is formatted, the images will not be recoverable.

try using a memory card reader that supports a xd card-very generic plug and play no software to load and computer should recogtnize card-if not open my computer and you will find new drive letters for card reader in there

Remove the camera's software and reinstall. If this fails to solve the problem, use a memory card reader to transfer images from the card.

Be sure that you plug original Olympus USB cable directly into USB port on mother board (ussualy on the back side of PC) not on the front pannel hub and not into extention USB cable.
