The ram slots on my ga-81865gm-775-rh-as MB are reporting my ram chips as 512k each rather than 1g each. The chips are 400mhz, supported, Kingston kvr400x643ak2/1g. I've already removed the ram and...

Hi, you can download a manual here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2358#manual

Your mainboard supports:

Type: Dual Channel DDR 400 / 333 / 266 support
  1. Max capacity: 2 GB
  2. DIMM slots: 2
* Due to standard PC architecture, a certain amount of memory is reserved for system usage and therefore the actual memory size is less than the stated amount.

Its maybe a setting in the bios or you missing a driver that causes the problem.
Or one of you ram modules is defect.

Thank you for your help so far you guys are wonderful, thank you once again. But still one solution I never known what to do exactly,: I have two memory DIMM slots and both are purple colored . I have...

Most likely the two memory sticks are not compatible. I would suggest using two identical sticks. This is critical if you are trying to use dual-channel.
I always try to do this except in older systems where it really doesn't matter and I'm only trying to get a client's computer up and running.

INSTALLED NEW RAM UPGRADE TO BOOST FROM 1G TO 2G COMPUTER DOES NOT RECOGNIZE NEW RAM STILL SHOWS 1G.

Make sure it is the correct ram for your computer. If you just added one ram chip then try swapping them and make sure they have a tight fit.

To test the new chip replace the old one with it and turn on your machine. If it doesn't see it then it is either bad or not the correct one.

Let me know how it goes.

My computer need to install more memory what i need to do

First you need to check your owner's manual or online at the Gateway site to find out how much memory your computer can hold and what type.
Then you need to see how many memory slots you have. You can then go out and buy the memory you need and remove the old and put in the new.
You may just be able to add memory if there are empty slots--otherwise, you'll have to remove the old smaller memory sticks and replace them with larger ones.

Hi! How can I increase the RAM on my Aspire T310? Can I do it myself? Thanks.

Yes, you can definitely do this yourself. Upgrading RAM is one thing that repair places make much money; however, it takes a matter of seconds to complete.

Your Acer Aspire T310 has two memory slots on the motherboard. Each slot can hold a maximum of 1GB each for a total of 2GB RAM. You should see a great improvement in performance.

To save on a long tutorial, I have included a video link. The type of RAM you need can be found at the following link. Kingston is another manufacturer you could check into also.

Please remember to unplug all cords from your computer and be in a static free environment before upgrading your memory. Good Luck!

SGH-U700 mobile Phone simcard does not fit

Hi, DONT CUT SIM!
Sim cards on the samsungs slot into sim reader which is found under battery. If you remove the battery you should see where it goes. The slot you are referring to sounds like the memory card slot which is an expansion slot if you want to increase the memory size for file storage. Hope that helps?
