I need the acer monitor drivers for windows seven al1706a

As I'm sure you're aware Acer doesn't offer a specific driver for this monitor. However, any driver for your video card that offers a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution should work. What screen resolutions does your current driver offer? If you want to update your video driver download a newer video driver from the firm that made your video chip. You can find out what you've got by launching Device Manager. (click on the start button and type device manager into the search box) If you decide to update your video driver click on Display adapters entry in Device Manager and right click on the video chip entry that will emerge as a subgroup. Select update driver software from the choices displayed when you right click. Then tell it where the driver you've downloaded is located.

Repair Acer Monitor LCD 17 In. Model # AL1706A Mfg. Nov 2006

If the power lite is on and there is no Display, Turn off the montor and turn it back on and the picture will flash on for a second - Replace the Capacitor # C806 1000mf 25v to 1000mf 35v in the Power Supply - have to take apart the plastic cover, be very careful in taking it apart it, it will break apart the pieces that hold it together.

Acer al1706a driver

Just try here : http://www.bioticaindia.com/al1706.html .

If that didn't work , then get back to this website http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx
and try the nearest numbers to your monitor series for example AL1702 or AL1703 or AL1711 .
that works in the most times believe me .

good luck

rate if that was useful please !

Horizontal/Vertical Postion of Image on LCD Monitor

the controls for focus adjustment are on the flyback transformer, (that big black thing on the left hand side (usually) of the monitor with the thick red wire that goes to the CRT.) the flyback may have 1,2,3 or even 4 knobs on it. 3 of these would be labled SCREEN (bottom knob of flyback. handles brightness)
FOCUS 1 + FOCUS 2 (focus adjustments. these are what you need to play with) and the 4th knob (some old mitsubishi workstation monitors had these) i do not know, it wasnt labled and HV adjustment was on the deflection board

On mine you can adjust brightness with buttons on the front. The button under the R gets you in, far left to exit.

Got a phone number for ACER? I can't get it to work with WIN2K, just WIN98SE by using powerstrip.
