Hi I'm using a MacBook Pro 2.33 with everything up to date. Mac OSX 10.4.11.
I'm at a friends place and have been given the password to their wireless net work which is of a DL 524, running "WPA Personal" password.
Every time I try to connect it says there was an error connecting to the network.
You need to reconfigure your network settings again, double click on your wireless icon that appears on right top corner of your screen and give the appropriate settings there
you should give proper IP address and gatway and Password for net access

You dont need a CD or driver to connect to time capsule. All you need to do is to have you MACbook detect the Time capsuple. Open AirPort Utility, select Time Capsule, and click Continue. Enter the password of the time capsule if incase you secured the router.
dear friend try to add a $ symbol before the network key and click connect...it may work...
i think the security type which you have enabled now in router is WPA...
you need to change the security type to 64bitWEP on your router, and try connecting again....
to configure your router you can follow the steps given for Belkin router, by clicking here...
All the routers will have similar kind of configuration....
only the user interface will differ...
first check for the default gateway address of your router....
you need to enter that address in place of BELKIN default ip address given in that link....
This is all what you just need to do. You need to get you mac address first and edit it using a computer that is currently connect to your router as you are using Mac filtering. To check your mac address :
To find the serial number located on the computer
If the MacBook is not turned on, you can open the computer's
battery bay to find the serial number.
The MacBook serial number and Ethernet ID (also called a MAC
address) are located on the bottom of the computer, underneath the
battery, in the battery bay.
