Looks like it is damp on the inside where the electrics are. Discontinue use immediately. You could try to open up the bottom and dry it out, but some do not allow access. So, in that case, a new kettle is in order.

My tefal keeps tripping elcb in fuse board what could be wrong

Next time it happens and it trips.. use a dry towel to unplug kettle, just in case.

Is the base wet? Check the kettle for cracks. Check the cable. Is it damaged? Try replacing the fuse in the plug. Is the steam that the kettle produces affecting lighting or other electrical items around it? Try moving the kettle to a different location.

My Breville water kettle stopped heating water. This is my second teakettle to do this. We have had this second kettle for about 2 years. We always were careful to make sure the kettle is off before

Unless you can take it apart and repair it yourself, it probably isn't worth the cost to have it repaired. There are several websites that sell parts, but you really have to be familiar with electrical circuits to diagnose it. Possibilities are:
1. It could be the thermostatic switch that turns it off as it reaches temperature. These are little devices with two wires connected and are in the base of the unit. these normally reset themselves but can stop working, especially if they have gotten wet.

2. It could be the cord to the unit with a wire broken at the base or the plug end.
3. It could be a thermal fuse; these are about 1/4 inch in diameter and may be hidden in an insulating sleeve near the element; they are sensitive to both heat and current.

3. It could be the element is burned out.

Hey there, i have a kenwood cd receiver kdc-mp142 and it doesnt work, i connected it directly to a battery (not in a car). When i connected it it sparked and shut off, the fuse is not blown, and idea why...

Hello... the wiring diagram is here...
http://download.tigersea.com/caraudio/kenwood/kdcmp142/manuals_file/178700.pdf

Try to connect separates speakers( not the installed in the car) If your car stereo dont turn ON... then there is a short circuit in the audio power circuits.

Take the kettle out to clean

The kettle plug is a twist lock, so turn and pull to unplug. There is a spring or hitch pin in the end of the L shaped pin, remove the spring pin, then pull the L pin out. Do not submerge the kettle, or get it very wet. It is an electrical appliance.

How do i replace thermal fuse on an oster 5965 tea kettle?

This unit is discontinued and I doubt it would be cheaper than buying new and that's IF you can find it, sorry.

You might get by with a $10 "Digital Power Timer", though. That will shut your kettle off after whatever amount of minutes and seconds you program it for.

Switch became totally loose and cannot be turned ON

you havent specified where the switch becomes loose and inoperable .......it is in the plug point or the base of the unit
if it is on the mains then change the point
it it is on the base of the unit ...
then give some padding to the base where the plug is connected then
it will start working////////
i hope this suggestion will solve your problem
