Place a jumper wire on each side of the switch. Be careful because you are dealing with 120vac. Then plug it in for just a split second. If the jig saw operates its the problem is in the switch.

My Bosch jigsaw suddenly seems to run too slowly. It just doesn't cut as agressively as when new, and seems to turn less rpm. what's going on with it?

This may seem dumb but did you accidentely turn the variable speed dial on the trigger down? Not sure which model you have but that is the most common problem that comes into my shop with certain models.

Bosch 2604320913 Carbon-Brush Set

No If the saw is running the brushes must be working. Maybe the front end grease has dried causing too great of load on the motor. if not the motor must be defective (lost a winding in the feild) don't know how much you paid but unless its worth is greater than $150 I sugest buying another

I replaced the switch the cord and checked the brushes everything looks fine but it won,t work. Help

Interesting. I looked at the following URL to see if there was any safety device that might prevent it from working and I see none:
If there is nothing happening when you pull the trigger, the only thing you can do is trace the wiring from the power cord through the trigger and to the motor contacts, as shown in the aforementioned URL diagrams. I assume the motor has not seized up on you since you did change the brushes. Not to sound foolish, but did you try changing the outlet you plugged the saw into? In some of the higher end equipment there is an inline fuse that is part of the AC plug assembly. Any chance that is part of the new cord? Blown or missing in-line fuses?
Please keep me informed of your progress as I find this quite interesting. Paul

My 9 month old Bosch 1590 jigsaw will not start??

The problem is the switch, or trigger switch. It may just have saw dust in it or it may be shot. Try blowing the dust out of it with a good blast of compressed air. If you don't have a compressor to do this go to a tire shop. They will help u.
