How is it possible to remove spatters and remaining backed on grease from Miele's PerfectClean oven? The supposedly special finish of the oven cavity does not have a non-stick property. Cleaning after cooking with soap and water is not effective at all. Please advise how to clean the perfect clean oven cavity. Thank you

You just need one piece of melamine sponge. Melamine sponge just need water and don't need detergent , strongcleaning capacity, saving time ,energy, convenient. The most distinguish with the traditional cleaning sponge is that the magic melamine sponge adopts physical cleaning principle. During cleaning, it can automatically absorb the stains on the surface. It is like countless superstrong mini cleaners working together.

How to operate the self-cleaning feature?

Remove the racks and go for it. What it does is locks the oven and superheats the oven space which turns any grease or splashes to ash. When the cycle is finished, the door will unlock.

Why is this model smoking so much when you use the oven why is so hard to clean the upper part the element is in the way and it is almost impossible to clean it

smoking ovens is from burnt on grease where people do not use oven bags to prevent grease spatter
get advice on how to remove the element and replace with a new one ( grease free) use a good quality spray on oven cleaner and let stand for the directed time then clean out properly refit the new element
it will be best if you remove the door first as it makes it easier to get in the oven

White residue left after using self cleaning feature - I can't remove it with soap and water and elbow grease. What would work? This looks awful!!!

The residue your seeing is the remains of whatever was left in the oven when you decided to creamate in. Grease, food, etc was basically turned to has and then powder coated into the metal. Bit of advice for the future though, avoid using self clean mode not only for the scenario you have, but for your bank account as well. The temperatures the oven reaches in self clean exceed that of which the oven cavity can handle letting heat pass upward, usually damaging the lock mechanism for sure, as well as the control board and touchpad.

I am trying to replace the light bulb in a Miele H326 oven but I cannot remove the glass cover in order to get at the bulb. Can you suggest the best method?

Usually they just screw off, may need a good turn as they can be tight due to the heat. If not then you may need to remove the back panel, usually 4 screws. Otherwise a bit of elbow grease to turn it anti-clockwise.

I have a six month old Miele oven - H5140/5240 BP - not sure which. It smells atrocious after it has been on for an hour or so, whether on conventional on fan forced cooking. really disappointing, and a...

when the oven etc is new it will make a smell. put the oven on the hotest temp and open a window to burn off the oil grease used when the oven was fitted, then when it cools down give it a good wipe round inside with some oven cleaner then the smell should be gone.

How do I clean the inside of the door window of my self-cleaning oven?

umm. there will always be some assemblence of grease on the door glass, if its on the inner most panel and you can scrub it off, then i would reccomned using a razor blade lying flat to scrape it off, however if it has developed within the panel(s) of glass then the only remedy is to dissassmeble the door and glean them that way.. there was some conflict as to the age of your machine in your description, you say "3-hour cycle for the first use late last spring, if I remember correctly--whatever the directions said to do for the first time, a 4-hour cycle after Thanksgiving last fall and a 3-hour cycle for the second cleaning a couple of days ago since it wasn't very dirty"" so i cant be a mont old??? reason i say is that is the unit you purchased probably come with a pretty kickin warr and the manufacture will want ot make good on your issue if you cant resolve it, betterchance though if only 1 month not 11
