Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS210 32" TV
The tv is more than likely full of bad current and needs to be discharged. unplug it for about 24 hours, and then plug it back up and try it again......about 12 hours into the unit being unplugged, hold the power button down randomly for about 30 seconds at a time........plug the unit back up, try to turn it on, and listen for any unusual noises.....if you can, try to smell....yes smell.....the vents on the to back side of the tv, to see if anything smells like it is hot, or "frying"....everyone knows the smells of something electrical that is hot, and if you dont, you'll know it when you smell it.
if you encounter any of these issues, the nunplug the tv and dont try it anymore. you're last options would be a warranty exchange through the manufacturer, or taking it to a tv repair shop, or simply buying another tv. it's just limited on what you can do, as far as repairing the unit yourself goes, as there are several part of the tv that can hold enough current for up to 6 months, that WILL kill you, if you even so much as touch them. obviously i do NOT recommend trying to take the unit apart.
