It wont allow songs to be placed into it

When we try putting songs into the memory through the computer we get a notice saying that the device does not allow songs to be placed in this location. we also get a notice saying that the song can be copied onto the device for storage and transport purposes only and that it is not supported on the device itself. thanks.

Are you using the software specifically designed for this device, to transfer the files?

using windows explorer can cause these issues, much like trying to drag and drop musing directly onto an iPod......my advice would be to get the updated software and drivers from the MP3 player's manufacturer's website. that's really about all you can do, and you can also try using a different PC to try it again, but it wont really make any difference.

this is pretty much the only thing you can do, sorry, but good luck :)

500 songs, all gone but wont allow other downloads, "too full"

Re: 500 songs, all gone but wont allow other downloads, "to full"

Use settings "format" on mp3 player. This will delete any hidden files. If you download in one format (say like Ubuntu) and delete them under another (say Windows), files can remain in *.trash which is hidden. To avoid this in the future, try deleting with shift+del as it will bypass the trash folder.

Windows mEDIA PLAYER SAYs my sansae260 is full, but device won't sync. It says no song. I tried to reset, but still says no song

change the usb modes also....MSC will allow you to see the expansion card ( 2Gig E200 series 4gig Fuze) mtp won't.....MTP shows you your music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music plus expansion.....
Delete songs and Format (Helps with trying to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete full memory(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselves then format a couple of times hope this works

The RCA Lyra 1090a says bad or missing lyrasys

What i do is i never put songs in my internal memory...this way you never have to worry about formating the internal memory....so i have several exteral card i use say one for country or rock and its so easy to format a exteral card just place it in ur card reader if ur using a laptop them go to my computer right click on ur card that youll find then youll notice on the list theres format so its so easy...im sure its asking you to format ur drive because you must have a few corrupted files....best of all when adding music just pull ur external card out place it in a reader fill ur card with music then insert it back in ur device...this way ur getting away with using any firmware....by the way take any disc that came with ur Lyra and chuck it in the garbage that 90 percent of all ur problems

All songs wont go on,then memory gets corrupted

i think the flash memory is defective. if you have still warranty on your device bring it to your dealer. if not, you could try to format the players memory. go to my computer, right click on the device and use the option format. data format should be fat32. you do this on your own risk.

Memory card wont format

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Are you sure that your puter has a usb 2.0 capability??? if not it wont let you use the player as you want. Go into systmes from control panel and then device manager and then scroll down to the usb ports and make sure you have the latest drivers for the usb 2.0.. if that dosent work then i would suggest that you dump what you have and then see what kinda memory you have availasble on the unit as there may be defective memory cells. Good Luck
