Question about Canon LaserClass 9000L Plain Paper Fax

Send or recived fax

I can't recived or send fax from Canoc 9000l, I do have a dail tone, and tried to send from another fax machine but the 9000 doesn't recive the doc

1st of all do check that the telephone line cord is plugged into the correct jack in the machine. It needs to be in the jack marked "line." not the jack marked "Tel."

Further questions need to be addressed, such as :Is this a recently acquired machine? or Has the machine been disconnected from the power for any length of time? or Has the machine been moved to a different location?

No dial tone.

Take the line out of the fax and put it in a telephone,if u hear a dail tone its the fax and if not its the phone line!I am allmost sure there are fuses on the fax board that can be bridged!Good Luck!

Trying to send a fax and get the TX #0259 what does it mean and what do i do to be able to send the fax

tx/rx/#0259 is just the number of the fax sent or recieved and the next one will be 0260,it has nothing to do with the fax sending!Make sure the line is connected in the L on the fax and that there is a dailing tone!Good Luck!

If the fax is not set for tone dailing and it is set for pulse dialing the fax will not register the # button.

How to programm my fax number

Here is a link to your Canon LaserClass 9000 users guide, unfortunately it was scanned 90 degrees off.
Setting up group dial will allow you to send to multiple locations with only one scan of document(s). Programming fax number should be located on page 3-5.

Canon LaserClass 9000L TURN REG SW OFF

If you open the 2 key panels,on your one toutch speed dail panel.You will find the dataregistration button and other program key funktions.Above dataregistration button you will see a small switch,that you canset left-off and right -on.If you switch it to off that message will disapear.You only switch it to on if you wants to make changes to the settings of the maschine.This switch is called registration key.

you should try replacing the cable between the fax machine and wall socket.

Hi, I had this problem and spoke to sagem at
the solution is simple, turn off your fax machine at the wall, take out your batteries from the handset and leave both off for 15 minutes. then turn on the fax machine and replace the batteries back in to your handset, at it will work.....
