is there anything else i can do other than put a toggle switch on the ground??????

that happened to mine and i opened it up and found a plastic piece broken under the cd compartment towards the back of the radio i just put a little crazy glue on it and it works fine now and for the video bypass i put a toggle switchone side on the ground and the other side on the wire then you would have to put a dvd in it and flip the switch a couple of times
