Question about Friedrich D30 Dehumidifier
The only way to know for sure is to test the capacitor. Most capacitors are oil filled in this application. If you see an oily substance leaking from the capacitor or the top is bulged (versus being completely flat), replace the capacitor. If that is not the problem, any additional repair by a shop is going to be as much or more than a new one.
