  1. Try reseting the ipod:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705

2. if that doesn't work use a program like copypod to transfer all your ipods files to your hard drive, then do a Factory Reset of your ipod

This will delete all your ipod files, back them up first with a program like copypod.

Ipod 4G nano shows 0 songs when disconnected, but shows all data when connected t iTunes. Please help.

If you have all the music from the Ipod on your computer, I recommend you do a factory reset of the Nano. You could have a corrupted audio file that is messing everything up or your hard drive could be failing.

How to Fix a Frozen IPod Nano

iPod Nanos will sometimes freeze up, sticking on one screen or not even turning on at all. If your nano is locking up, there are a few things you can try to get it working again.

1. Turn off the hold button. First of all, make sure that that wasn't the problem--don't worry, we've all done dumber stuff.

2. Cold boot. Assuming that wasn't the problem, flick the hold button on and off a few times, and then make sure it's off. Hold down the Menu button and the middle button button for about 15 seconds; this should reset the iPod nano, which may fix the issue. Make sure that the iPod nano is fully charged before attempting this.

3. Recharge. If that didn't work at all, try plugging the iPod nano into the USB port of a computer, using the adapter that came with it. Be sure to plug directly into the computer, and not through a USB hub. The USB needs to provide adequate power for the iPod nano to function, and it may be unable to do so through a hub. The iPod nano should be recognized by the computer; once it is, you simply need to safely disconnect it in iTunes, and it should be functional. If it doesn't show up on the computer at all, give it about 20 minutes, leaving the iPod nano connected to the computer, as the nano may be under-charged, which requires a few minutes to re-charge. If it's still not working, try plugging the iPod nano into a different computer.

4. Try again. If the Menu + Middle Button fix seemed to work, but just cycled the nano back to one of its starting screens (including the "do not disconnect" or the "loading Apple logo" screen), try that fix again. If it still doesn't work, try to charge it for a while, and then try it once more.

I pod is frozen in Synchronizing plugged in and out and back into

Have you already attempted to reset the iPod?
If not you will want to attempt that as your first step towards resolving this issue.
To do so you will need to simply press and hold both the center and menu buttons for at least ten seconds or until the apple icon appears on the screen.
If this does not resolve your issue please do let me know.
Also in the future if the iPod seems to be frozen on the do not disconnect screen, shut down the computer and reset the iPod before disconnecting it. Improper disconnection can cause hardware corruption.

Ipod corrupted

You'll need to format your iPod.

There is 2 way's i know of you do this first one is to go to iTunes when your iPod is plugged in, now click on your iPod then click on "Restore" this will restore it to previours setting also should restore the corrupted it spoke of when you tryed turning it on.

If you've tryed formatting it through iTunes but was unsuccessful, try through my computer. Follow these steps below:

First click on "Start" - now click on "My Computer", now look for your iPod usually named "Removable Disk", once you've found it, right-click on it then click "Format", once format is complete, unplug your iPod then try it now.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful. Further problems leave a comment on here and i'll get back to you.
