Hello, i'm brazilian, my brother mfc-9010cn printer, notes paper jam, but there is no paper. Does not respond to print commands . waiting for help. thanks mr reichert.

You will need to reset the machine and uninstall the drivers and reinstall them back on to a computer.
You will need to go into the machines memory (Menu) and do a full reset of the machine so you will need to default it back to 'Factory Settings'. This should clear the problem and of course check that there is not the slightest shred of paper stuck!

How do I remove PC name from the LCD? The person who originally had this printer/scanner is no longer using it but I can't seem to remove them from the options when I scan something.

You can solve this through any computer that can print to the printer.

1. Press Settings on the Control Panel

2. Use the arrow keys on the printer to select " Network Settings" and press the check mark key

3. Use the arrow keys on the printer to select " TCP/IP" and press the check mark key

4. Use the arrow keys on the printer to select " View IP Address" and press the check mark key

5. Write down the IP number displayed on the LCD (i.e.

6. Enter this number in the address bar on computer (i.e. http:/ and press enter

7. The Lexmark Printer Status page should display

8. Select "Configuration" and "Scan to Network Host Management"

HP Laserjet 1320n Admin Password has been forgotten. Need to change the IP address, but cannot access the system. Any suggestions?

If you changed the password from the default one but forgot the one you set it too all you really can do at this point is set the printer back to the factory defaults. The menu options below will help you do this.

Advanced Printer Settings

Settings tab

Resets = Change all the printer settings back to the factory default settings.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

Printer connected to more than one computer.

I gonna try to help you.
1. you need all the computers connected to same network.
2. you need to share your printer from the computer where the printer is connected to.
to share
a. go to control panel->printers and rightclick on your printer click sharing.
b. then share that printer and give it a share name and then OK.
click here to see pictures exact information about sharing.

c. you also need to know what your computer that shares the printer is named.
to find out go to control panel->system settings and tab computer name. write that down
a shortcut to this windows is "windows button flag" + Pause Break button.

3. go to the computer you want to install the printer on.
this computer need to be in the same network as the one with the printer.
4. click start menu then ->run and write "\\computername" and press enter. computer name is that name you write down in c.
5. then a window should appear and you can now double click on your printer that you shared, then it should auto install. done.
6. if you can find your computer with the printer, check your firewall settings on the computer that shares the printer so the connection doesn't been blocked.

good luck, if you need more help don't be afraid to get in contact with me. true fixya forum or fixya live chat

Lexmark X2550 Printer

Hi Margaret,
Unfortunatly your operating system is not supported by this printer. By using such an aged Windows version, please be mindful to review the supported operating systems on the side of the box of any hardware (e.g. printers, cameras) or software that you may purchase in the future.
My personal recomendation would be to upgrade to least Windows XP if your computer is equipped with the processor and ram to do so. You are going to find yourself running to this situation more and more as the generations of Windows progress.
If this is not an option for you, simply find an alternate printer that is supported by Win98 and return the one you've purchased.
I hope this helps,
