Either the start capacitor, start switch or winding, or perhaps some combination of the three is failing. You can take it to a local electric motor repair shop and see if it can be repaired or get a cost to replace just the motor and probably the pump seal. You would still save money compared to the cost of a whole new pump.

My washer won't spin, just makes a buzzing sound is this repairable?

fl is the code for a pump takind too long to drain. you have the buzzing so hopefull it is just clogged with small sock or debris from a yarn type item. to access pump (there are two types) unplug washer if you can bring it outside as this can hold lots of water. if not have a large wet vac handy. tilt washer 45 degrees to access bottom panel . remove three 5/16 screws, remove panel. the pump has one beige hose, one black. unclip or remove 4 torx screws depending on the type pump. clear pump. re-assemble. if indoors very important to slowly remove beige hose while running vacuum if not several gals of water will rush out. if this is a pump with the grey housing and it occurs immediately you have probably stripped the pump shaft and will have to replace it with the newre style pump. which will be the same procedure just one more step. the pump retails about 88 dollars. good luck

Frigidaire front load washer that will not start . it just buzzes. when it does start it stops after washing and leaves water in clothes asn buzzes.

it could either be a bad door switch or something stuck in the pump or a bad pump.if you set it to drain/spin will it drain out the water or does it buzz there?if it does drain i'd have to say you have a bad door switch.the model number you sent doesn't come up,you can unplug the machine, remove the hose that goes to the pump or run it before you unplug it and see if it's the pump making the sound or if the center of the pump can be removed to clean out the pump and check the pump for coins and junk, use a shop vac and vac out all the water in the tub and then lossen the hose or center of pump until water starts to leak out and vac it up as it comes out, check the pump and put it back together, add some water with a bucket or something and see if it drains out,if it doesn't drain and it sounds like the pump is making the noise you have a bad pump,if it buzzes and it's not the pump change out the door switch.the buzzing is electrical, things that could make this sound are the motor, the solenoids on the water valve or the door switch,if you can do some checks like see if it drains or try to find where the noise is coming from would be helpful.good luck and i hope this helps you out.

Dryer has started to make a loud sqealing when it starts and gets up to speed, the kind of sound a loose fan belt makes on a car, and now just makes a buzzing sound when the button is pushed but dosen't...

If you push the start button and you here a buzzing sound, This sounds like the motor is bad.

Somthing you can try and this might not work. but open the dryer door and turn the drum a littel bit then close the door and try to start it. If it starts running again then you have hit a bad spot on the motor.

If it just still just makes the buzzing noise then the motor is most likley bad.

Fills with waters starts making a buzzing sound

Check to see if there is something(sock) in the pump. If not, try spin washer with pump hanging down, but not with hoses off.

Makes buzzing noise and won't spin or drain

Sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump.  If nothing is stuck in the pump replace the pump.  It won't spin until it drains, so fixing the drain problem will fix the spin.  You can get at the drain pump by taking off the bottom panel.
