The fan is now running after the oven has been switched off, for more than 2 hours. I eventually switched the oven off but when you turn it back on the fan begins to blow again?

Your oven has a fan to draw in cool air at the bottom of the front panel, pass it around the case, and then blow it out at a position towards the top of the oven. This is a completely different fan that is at the back of the oven itself.

The cooling fan is necessary as the materials in modern ovens are kept light and thin as possible to save weight and manufacturing costs, however the flipside of this is that if not cooled by the cooling fan, they would be damaged by the heat inside the oven itself.

The cooling fan will continue to run for some time after the oven is switched off, because it will wait until the oven has fully cooled down before stopping the cooling fan.

Hi, the cooling fan is normally controlled by a thermostat which senses when the oven is cool enough, or a timer that runs for a pre-set time after it is switched off to allow the oven to cool.
I suspect this is the problem, but I have no specific expertise on your appliance so I'm afraid I can offer no further help.

Do i need to ventilate my wall oven

No, all wall ovens have a built in cavity extractor fan. When the oven is turned on this fan operates and blows air from the oven cavity through a vent at the front of the oven, normally just above the door. This keeps the outer oven and cabinet cooled sufficiently.

When the oven is on cold air constanly comes out the vents over oven door. Never did that with ild oven. thanks

This is the oven cavity extractor fan. It removes all the hot air from the oven cavity and blows it out the front. When the oven is hot and you turn it off the fan will continue to work until the oven cavity cools down.

Built in oven front panel gets too hot

No. There should be a fan that runs and blows cool air from a gap at the top of the door and over the controls.

In fan mode oven very slow to heat up [ fan is working] all other functions ok

If you can, test the oven fan element, if you can't, then feel \at the back of the oven compartment in front of the fan, you shoud feel hot air blowing, if not, then you need to replace the oven element.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Convection oven blowing cold air

If your fan is blowing cold air, it's the air inside the oven that circulates. It has nothing to do with the fan. Convection circulates the existing air in the oven. Sounds like you might deselect the convection setting if this continues to happen. We have parts, so please let us know if we can help any further. :>)

Fischer paykel double drawer motor runs constantly and will start

Is it the actual oven fan located on the back wall of the cavity behind the fan shroud or is it the cooling fan which is at the top of the cavity and blows air across the top of the oven? The cooling fan can't actually be seen.
