My Olevia LT37HVS 37" HDTV LCD TV went to a blue screen with no sound no picture and with "no signal". It has done this before but has "fixed itself". What is wrong? If I have to take it to a technician who do I take it to?

    Thank you

    no channel list

Our Olevia 537H B-12 will not hold a tuner signal. It worked fine for a few months. Now when we turn it on we get our tuner channels for a few minutes and then get a blue screen and "No Signal" message. I hooked up our coax cable to a VCR and then to the Composite 2 source to confirm our signal was good from the coax, and it is.

I experienced the same problem. I was watching a movie with HDMI and, for no reason, the screen went blue and now I can't watch videos. The message that appears is "no signal."

How do i get local digital channels

The HDTV tuner in the set must be of proper spec for your area. This is the start. At the rear you should have an RF connector. You will need to connect an HD type TV antenna. There are indoor TV antennas available. These work okay if the signals are strong enough. It is best to use an outdoor and mount it on the top of a building in order to have proper line of sight reception.

If you are sure your can meet the requirement with your TV and location to receive local TV stations then go in to the menu of the TV set and let it do the auto setup to receive local TV signals. Depending on the are for where the set was sold, there should be some prompts to satisfy about the type of signals that will be received. Once set, let it do the auto setup. This can take a fair number of minutes.

Factory reset was reset---now we have a no signal on the screen

Please go to tuning menu and select Auto Scan/ Auto Tuning to tune all available channels to store in tv memory.
Factory reset actually delete all data/ settings in memory chip and set tv as it was in-box.

I moved from TX to MX and my olevia rc-ltl willnot get the programing of present cable service. What you suggest I do?

Different cable systems use different frequencies for the TV channel numbers. There should be some kind of selection in your setup menu to switch between broadcast TV channels and different cable/satellite channel schemes.

Because I was curious i tried that to see what happen..and it worked!!
Olevia tv fixed!!!
Easy..your tv is not able to scan cahnnels...then, the solution is to plugging "a thing" that can do that: a converter box.

I have an Olevia 23t lct hd tv. I am plugged in

you said you are using composite cables..? that means you have some kind of cable box ? if you want to get HD channels you have to use a HD box that is supplied by the cable company.. the HD cable box then has to connect to the tv with component cables (green, blue, red cables) or HDMI cable.. to send the HD signal to the television.
