My HP LaserJet P1606 does not pick up paper anymore. I grinded somekind of gears, and all of a sudden the pickup roller and associated bar does the rotate enough to pickup the paper when printing.

Open the front and remove the toner cartridge. Turn the paper feed roller by hand until it clicks and goes slack. This is the rest position. Try it again. It doesn't sound good that you said you 'grinded some gears'. You may need HP professional service or a new machine.

My HP laser printer 1300 had a paper jam

When printing or copying, paper will not pick up or feed into the HP LaserJet 1000, 1200 or 1300 series product causing paper jams or wrinkled output. Symptoms are as follows:
  • The pickup roller will spin and try to pick paper.
  • The paper will partially feed into the product accompanied by a crackling, crunching noise then jamming.
  • The paper may feed all the way through the paper path accompanied by a crackling, crunching noise. The output will be skewed and wrinkled.
SOLUTION: Reposition the black Mylar light shields back into the proper position.
  1. Unplug the power cord from the product.
  2. Remove the paper and paper input tray.
  3. Slide hands, palms side up, into the paper input tray cavity (see Figure 1) until the fingertips reach the end of the cavity. Figure 1: Paper input tray cavityc00068598.jpg
  4. Bend fingers up to push the black Mylar light shields back into place. The proper position of the black Mylar light shield will be flat.
  5. Reconnect the power cord.
  6. Print a self-test/configuration page to verify product is functioning correctly.

My HP 1210 goes through the motions but will not pick up the paper. I have removed the back and moved the "wheel" as suggested but nothing is happening????

Make sure you inserting the paper not deep inside just insert and stop it when you feel any resistance .and try to print something. If it is print then well otherwise you have to show it service center.
Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

Printer will not pick paper

As a test, please try to print something using paper in the manual feed bin.

If that works, remove the tray, take all the paper out, verify the springs on the tray are working again then reinsert the paper and tray and try again.

Thank you.

Paper keeps feeding through and won't stop

Two possibilities;
One you have a messed up print job trying to print and when you turn the printer on the job just starts over.
Two the clutch that stops the pick roller is bad and the roller just keeps turning.
Unplug the machine from the computer and turn it off unplug power for awhile turn it back on not connected to the computer. If condition remains it is the clutch.
If condition goes away delete print jobs and re connect printer.
Hope this helps
