I have a Danby Clothes Dryer Model #DCD5505W-1. The dryer works but will not heat. Is there a reset button? If so, where is it located?

More than likely the heating element has burned out or the control circuit board. There is no such switch as a reset.

My dryer is not producing heat? not drying clothes - all switches on

I'm not 100% positive, but I would say your heating element is out as being the most likely culprit especially if you have kids and do alot of laundry as I do.

Running with no heat

Check for a blown thermal fuse or a faulty heating element. Both components should be located inside the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is about an inch long and is usually attached to or near the exhaust duct. Both components can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity will indicate a faulty component. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

My Danby dryer dcd5505w hums but wont tumble. I opened it up and pushed it and it ran for a bit and stopped. I pushed it again and it ran for about 3 minutes before stopping. The motor is okay and so is...

the motor is most likely the cause. once it starts to hum, it's not spinning :( bad brushes inside. replace the motor or get new dryer, sorry :(

Danby Dryer too hot

First of all, check to see if you have a hose going outside that is fully clear of lint from beginning to end. then check to see if your heat is staying the same on a empty load run machine empty, then turn your thermostat to cool after it heats up and see if the temp went down to see if working properly.
