disabling WEP security is not a great idea, unless you plan on replacing it with WPA. As for your request, please open a Browser and enter 182.168.1.1 into your address bar and hit enter. I can't seem to recall exactly where the setting is, but you will come across it if you look through the router admin page. Hope this helps.

Enter this address into your web browser. Follow the instructions from Linksys.
-OR-
see below.

How do I access the access point’s web-based setup page?
Answer A wired PC is a computer that you will directly connect to the access point via an Ethernet cable. The wired computer needs to have an Ethernet adapter to establish the connection to your access point.
If you’re accessing the web-based setup page of the access point, you need to do the following:
  1. Connecting the PC to LAN Port of the Access Point
  2. Assigning a Static IP address on your Wired Computer
  3. Accessing the Access Point’s Web-based Setup page
Connecting the PC to the LAN Port of the Access Point
Follow the steps below to connect the PC to the LAN port of the Linksys access point.
Take an Ethernet cable and connect it to the computer. Take the other end of that same cable and connect it to LAN or Ethernet Port at the back of the access point.
Assigning a Static IP Address on your Wired Computer
To assign a static IP address on your computer, click here.
Accessing the Access Point’s Web-Based Setup page
Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your access point’s default IP Address “192.168.1.245” and press [Enter].

NOTE: If the IP address of the access point has been changed, type the access point’s IP address in the Address bar instead.
The access point’s IP address can be changed by:
  • Running the access point s setup CD.
  • Changing it on the access point’s web-based setup page.
If you forgot the access point’s IP address you can:
  • Press the Reset button at the back of the access point for 30 seconds.
NOTE: This procedure will reset your access point to factory defaults. Any settings on the access point will be erased. The access point’s IP address will be “192.168.1.245” and the password will be “admin” after resetting.
Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name space blank, type in your access point’s password “admin” and click OK.

NOTE: If the password of the access point has been changed, type the access point’s new password in the Password bar instead.
The access point’s password can be changed by:
  • Running the access point’s setup CD.
  • Changing it on the access point’s web-based setup page.

Specific instructions for that would require knowledge of your router's manufacturer and model. It may alsp help to know the manufacturer and model of your wireless adapters (the cimputer if the wireless adapter is built-in) configuration of all devices will need to change.

Can you try these commands to get and test the default gateway address. on any machine wired or wireless that connects to the internet.
(assumes you have Windows XP)

click Start then All Programs then Accessories then Command Prompt Enter the followig and press enter

ipconfig

Write down the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway for each adapter if there is more than one

Using the default gateway address(es) you received if more than one then issue the command ping followed by the default gateway address.

ping {put default gateway address here no{}}

It will either timeout 4 times or yuou will get a non timeout message with elapsed time indicating success.

I need to know if ipconfig and ping worked and what the default gateway was that worked.

Please reply with a comment to this message for the information requested.

A window will open in that window type the following command

I have 2 desktop computers and 2 wireless computers. My router is a Negear Rangemax WPN824 v2.
I am having no trouble at all with my internet connections yet when I attempt to go wireless with another new laptop I bought, a DELL Mini laptop, the laptop see's the network and shows connected and also shows I have a very strong signal but will not connect to the internet wireless and only get the page that says "Can't find server".

When I plug in an ethernet cable from the router I have no problem connecting to the internet but just can't seem to go wireless with the new laptop at home. I have zero trouble going wireless with the new laptop when I am at work with it or at Free Wi-Fi locations.

I have tried to type in my Router IP address as set up by an outside company for me initially but I only get a page that say's "Failed to connect, Cannot locate server".

I am not very computer savvy admittedly, so if you have any possible solutions to fix the problem, don't please don't skip steps assuming I would know to perform them or assume I know a lot of computer jargen. Thankyou for any help you can give.....................
