Hi,

Press and hold the "Menu and Volume key <" this would reset your tv. If this did not work then maybe you should replace a probable blown power supply. most likely caused by defectiveelectrolytic capacitors that if are electronically handy can bereplaced for a few dollars.
Here is a link to some one who experienced what you are going through and how he got his repaired for less than $30.

Defectiveelectrolytic capacitors from China are a rampant problem. Cheap Dell, computers fail all the time because of this problem.

Good Luck

The first thing to check is the power supply on this unit. Make sure there is not bad capacitors, relays, fet, etc, etc

Also there are things to check like the lamp inside and what not. Get back to me if you have more questions.

I would have this repaired as this is a good TV..

Check the powe comin from the power supply eading to your main control board. Itshould be about 12-13.5 volts. Anything to high or too low would indicate a fualty power supply which is failry common now days. You can also test other capacitors and resistors with an ohmmeter or capacitor tester to find the faulty one. You can get parts and manual at shopjimmy.com

Hi,
I did not find the model, I think you are referring to a rear projection TV.
The TV is on protect mode, a special fault mode, that will keep the TV in standby, shutting down higher voltages from PSU.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board. When it is the lamp depleted you usually you get a faulty lamp code explained on owner manual.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Regards.
