Question about Hitachi SuperScan Elite 802 21" CRT Monitor
Hello; First of all I understand that this CRT Monitor is 1998 technogoly!?!
I turn on the monitor, I hear a 'cracklin' sound, a lot like static electricty.
The screen only shows a bright, thin line, all the way across the middle, and then the thin line turns to a small dot, and the monitor goes blank!!!
Thanks, Don ( firstname.lastname@example.org )

Reply: In a CRT Monitor there is a component called EHT which generates High voltage which is connected to the anode of the CRT, If there is any leakage due to moisture can cause this crackiling sound, You need to clean this high tension wire or replace the EHT ( CAUTION : BE AWARE OF HIGH VOLTAGES )
2. The screen only shows a bright, thin line.
Reply: The vertical Drive section of the monitor is faulty.
