Click on the link, the info is for 4t40e transaxle. The info says the transaxle holds 6.9 quarts, but, you can't go by that. How much fluid did you drain out? If you over fill or under fill, that is your responsibility. good luck

First check the transmission fluid level. Add fluid if needed. If you still have the problem, then the clutches are worn out. Transmission would need to be rebuilt.

check transmission fluid levels add if low.. also look for contaminated fluid.. change filter and fluid if bad..

My 04 CADILLAC SRX AWD V8 is saying 18% transmission life left..do I need to change the fluid all together or can I add some more to fill it up...I have no leakage????

-Make sure transmission fluid is full to level when it's warm.
-If low add to level. But it's full then time to rebuild or new transmission.

NO REVERSE ON TRANSMISSION

It can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt. Also get the tranny fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

To fill the transmission fluid, you need a funnel that fits into the dipstick tube, add fluid there. If the fluid is black and smells burnt, that's bad. I would have the fluid changed. These transmissions don't have a filter, probally a bad idea.

Are you replacing it or just adding fluid? A good rule is to add one quart at a time and check it.
