Question about Everex StepNote XT5000T Notebook
It sounds like an overheating issue. Go get a few cans of compressed air especially made for cleaning sensitive office equipment. Take the battery out, wait 30 seconds and open all the case covers on the bottom of the laptop. Take the compressed air and using short bursts, blow air in all the ventilation grills first, this will blow dust, dirt and hair out of the cooling fins leading to the processor. Then blow air into all the open spaces, this is where the hard drive, ram and wireless card lives. blow out the keyboard area and the rest of the system and put the case covers back in place.
