Re: VIsta bbusiness refusing to boot up

You could try entering in safemode to uninstall the update..
to enter safemode.. after a couple of seconds of being turn on, you have to press F8.. then it will ask you in what mode do you want to enter, enter in safe mode with no networking for less hassle and less time to enter..
then go to control panel, add or remove programs and try to find what you installed there to uninstall it..

Windows take a long time to shut down

Uninstall unused programs. Get an up-to-date Antivirus program and scan your computer. Also get Malwarebytes to look for any Trojans. Windows Vista is notorious for taking a long time to boot or shutdown after a few years. Time to move to Windows 7 if you can, it has tighter code. Windows 8.1 is even better, but some hate the interface.

I have just bought and downloaded the discs a canon pixma mp270, whislt it worked ok, once I shut down my computer and then turned it on this morning it came up I needed to load a system disc of my vista...

This could be because the canon software is not compatible with Vista. Vista automatically takes a checkpoint before installing any software. So once the system is booted, restore your OS back to the good state. Follow the below steps to restore:
1. Goto 'Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools 2. Click 'System Restore' 3. Click on 'continue' when prompted 4. Choose the second option "Choose a different restore point" 5. It will list the checkpoints taken when any recent software is installed. 6. Select the best date and continue.

IF the above didnt work, try to uninstall the software from 'Add or remove" programs.
Please come back and rate my solution, if it turn to be helpful. Thnx

Acer laptop with vista now windows wont work

1. Boot to safe mode by tapping F8 as soon as you power your computer on.

2. Launch system restore under Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

3. Just follow the steps and select a restore point (any day before this problem started).

4. System restore should also be able to uninstall the Automatic Updates that could have caused the issue.

Another option is you can Contact Microsoft Support and tell them that you're having issues with automatic updates, you shouldn't be charge for the support if it's still under warranty.

Vista problem:can anyone help me

look for Win vista CD and boot your computer with it, then restore your computer back to a date that it worked perfectly, you won't loose any of your saved document or if you don't have a bootable CD, then at startup press F8 then select SAFE MODE and then at window, click on START-PROGRAM-ACESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS-SYSTEM RESTORE. Good luck

Vista Home won't boot

NeoSmart Technologies offers a download called Vista Recovery Disk in .iso format. Download and mount the iso with your favorit burning program. Boot to the cd to access the recovery center. Hopefully you'll be able to repair your Windows Vista installation or restore to a known good configuration.

Slow booting & shut down

the only thing I can sugust is remove norton 360 if you have this onboard and get other firewall and spyware and antivirus software.

and disable the sidebar with the widgets, and change desktop view from aero to clasic this will boost up loading and shutting down of laptop.

you can purschase vista, then download all drivers for laptop from manufactures and re-install from scratch.

good luck with problem

Vista Magnifier

Best way to fix it is using "Last Know Good Configuration" option in advance boot menu by pressing F8 during the boot. If "Last Known Good Configuration" doesn't resolve the issue, You may you use System Restore option to earlier date that can be prior to the issue.
Please post if you need further assistance.
