Gas Pizza Oven - Heat issues


Many of the Pizza ovens require ceramic plates that line the bottom surface of each oven. These ceramic plates absorb the heat and retain the temperature. I never used our ovens with a bare lower surface, always applied the plates for even heat and distribution.

The lowest setting on the dial of our Imperial oven is 175 degrees F. If we set the dial below the 175 mark, could we get the oven to level out at a lower temperature? We're looking to achieve a stable...


The temperature figures on the dial are a guide only. Play with the dial, you will pick up where the thermostat cuts in and out. 130 deg. is rather low, but it could be achievable. You will only find out through experimentation - nothing will be damaged.

If my grandmothers cookbook says to bake something at 175 Celcius, what is that in farenhite?


175 degrees Celsius is equal to 347 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.

The conversion formula is
Fahrenheit temperature = (9/5 x Celsius temperature)+ 32

How best to cook turkey. What setting?

step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Step 2 Remove turkey from its wrapping and remove neck and giblets from inside the cavity. Set aside to make gravy later (see Related eHows).
  • Step 3 Rinse turkey inside and out with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.
  • Step 4 Put oven rack on lowest level of oven.
  • Step 5 Place turkey, breast side up, on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
  • Step 6roast1s.jpg Rub the outside of the turkey with olive oil.
  • Step 7roast2s.jpg Salt and pepper the turkey's body and cavity.
  • Step 8roast3s.jpg Roast turkey about 3 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the thigh registers 175 to 180 degrees F.

    My jenn-air self-cleaning electronic wall oven model w131 is heating up very slowly. It took 1.5 hours to get to 175 degrees.


    One of the 2 hot wires is out. Flip (hard) the oven circuit breaker to the off position, and then back on. If it did not help - verify 220-240v between the two hot wires on the terminal block behind the electronic control. If there is less - call electrician.

    Hi, I was cooking and my oven jut went off, looked in fuse mains box and had tripped. So put back on and now the fan works but no heat...Can you give me some idea what it mite be.
