HI

Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to do a hard reset by unplugging the power cord for a couple of hours. Then re plug it to restore the normal functions. If still the problem persists, then it means power supply has gone bad and needs to be replaced. You can also select the Power-on Mode feature by pressing Menu and opening the Setup Menu. Then highlight Power-on Mode and press right arrow button, now press down or up arrow button to select either ‘Fast’ or Power-Saving and press ‘enter’ key. If Power-On Mode is set to Fast and you turn off the TV, the following will occur for a few minutes:

The screen (lamp) lights dimly; and
The fans continue to run.

This is a function of the Power-On Fast Shutdown mode and is not a TV malfunction. If you do not prefer this, set the Power-On Mode feature to Power-Saving. When the Power-On Mode feature is set to Power-Saving, if you repeatedly turn the TV on and off in a short period of time, the useful service life of the lamp may be shorter than the average useful service life.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

What's your problem? won't turn on..... yellow/orange light continually flashes three times...

Toshiba Regza 37in - 37HL17
TV will not turn on - Yellow power ind. Light blinks three times...
Fixed with a firmware update (hard to believe, but true). Search Google for a file named: 2007SEN069.zip (don't worry if the page you find it on doesn't mention the 37HL17 - it worked fine). Unzip the file, and copy the 3 folders and 3 files to the root of a small SD card. The SD card MUST be 2GB or less in size (I used a 1GB card), and it MUST be formatted with FAT-16 (not FAT-32). Mine was pre-formatted as FAT (FAT-16). The SD port is on the back of the TV behind a cover plate near the power cable. You do NOT need to remove the back cover of the TV, just the small cover plate (1 screw). UNPLUG the TV; remove the cover plate; insert the SD card (prepped as explained above); Plug in the TV; Watch the yellow lights blink, then turn blue, then go dark; UNPLUG the TV; remove the SD Card and replace the cover; Plug in the TV; Yellow lights will blink a few times (this is normal); when blinking stops, turn on the TV and you should be good to go. :-)
Pictures attached are from a Toshiba software upgrade bulletin I found online.

I have toshiba 50hm67 replaced lamp...tv worked, then quit working again, and giving blinking yellow lamp error light when turn on...after a few moments tv tries to turn off and back on

OK. I have this same issue. I replaced my bulb a month or so ago. TV worked fine. Then one morning I turned it on and it was on for a good while, till it went to a black screen w/ sound only. Lights were going through the reboot process as designed for 8 attempts before it went to the solid red light. From the red light, if I unplug and plug back in, the tv will come on for a given amount of time, which varies, and then cut to the black screen. A repairman told me that it sounds like the digital board is bad. He wanted $150 for the board and $100 labor. I cannot find anywhere where the board would be located or where I can purchase a replacement.

My television is saying "I am not working" every

Then get a job like your TV is telling you. This will fix your TV, because you can then just buy a new one.

Tv wont turn on it cycles through about 5 times then it turns off blinking 2 red lights at the bottom of the monitor.

Are you sure its two red lights blinking and not the one red light blinking and you can see it through the other window to look like two red lights? If so sounds like your lamp is blown. Open the back door and unscrew the lamp (2 phillips screws) and check to see if your lamp is blown.

Blue light remains lit but lose picture. no other indicator lights flash. if i unplug the tv it will restart but lose picture again after half hour

I have a toshiba 50hm67 tv and with mine the blue light would come on and I would hear sound first and then the picture would finally come on... this happend for about a month.... next the yellow and blue light would come on but the pic still wouldn't come on until it clicked off and on by itself for about 10 min this went on for about a week. All of a sudden last night the red lights by the power light started blinking. No tv now and when the tv shut off it said lamp not working.

Tv will not turn on. lamp light is flashing 3 times. i put a new lamp in it and have the same problem

The boot data is corrupted. Download the firmware update from Toshiba and unzip the files and folders, copy the unzipped files & folders to a SD card (like a camera uses). Unplug the tv and insert the card into the slot hidden behind the cover above the HDMI inputs. Plug in the tv and watch the yellow blinking stop and a solid blue will light when done. Unplug the tv, remove the card, plug in the tv and all will be good. You could now install the update per it's instructions.

Yellow blinking light on Toshiba 65HM167

I fixed mine with the same exact issue! Thanks to the folks at avsforums. Get a 4gb or smaller SD card, download the firmware from the toshiba support website, place it on the card. Unplug tv, put card in tv in the service port, plug in the tv! 3 yellow lights should turn to a blue solid light, unplug the tv again, remove the sd card. Plug it back in and enjoy!
