Looking for drivers for unknown 878a card

update your driver of tv tuner for os of your computer.like win7 or win8.
second do windows update for your computer and do update for your graphic card--and do update bios of your computer.

This particular device is tricky as Philips does not have drivers on their website, however there is a way to get this up and running.
First thing you are going to do is download two zipped folders, each containing the software that you will need. The first driver package is located here (unzip but do not install).
Second you will download the software package, located here (but do not unzip or install yet install).

Third, uninstall the TV tuner card if is showing up in Device Manager. You can get to Device manager by right clicking on My Computer and selecting Manage. In the left side click Device Manager. When all the devices are shown, right-click on the TV tuner card and click uninstall. Also, because the TV tuner card may be hooked up and no drivers are installed, you may see an "unknown device". Uninstall the "unknown device". Now run the installation/setup program from the first download and follow the step by step instructions.
After setup has finished installing the drivers, go ahead and restart your computer. After you have logged back into your computer, your operating system will recognize the TV tuner and may prompt you for the driver files via the Found New Hardware wizard. When prompted for a driver, browse to the first folder that you downloaded and select the driver file. Now that your computer has recognized and successfully installed the hardware, you will unzip and run the setup file from the second folder you downloaded. This is the software application that will use to interact with your new tuner card.

it is not windows 7 compactable.it is either you buy another one or try to check if the tv card manufacturer has window 7 version,

I am using p4 dual core intel processor 3.06 Ghz. Recently i installed tv tuner card on my suystem with cabil connected to this card. but due to unknown reasons sound stopped coming. though the picture is still there i am using Windows vista . My system config is 2 GB DDR2 ram and tv tuner card with 80 gb HDD + FDD
Due to this problem I formatted my hard disk and re-installed everything but the problem remained i re-checked everything with no results.

can you help me to sort out this.

I have 4 of these cards. PCI-8604PW is written on the board. 4 conexant fusion 878A chips on the board. You may have to run the setup program.
Restart.
Uninstall hardware under device manager related to " multimedia devices " that have the exclamation points. Point the driver wizard to the extracted driver folder.
Restart.
Should work.
