When lighting the pilot, it goes out as soon as the button is released, regardless how long you hold it down. The wires from the temperature pick up are broken off of the control valve.

It should be attached to a spade connector on the pilot assembly. There should be a metal rod there that the wire goes to to provide the spark to the pilot light.

How do I replace ignitor switch in thermos gas grill, if this is what is what I saw?

If that white is ceramic, I think it is the actual ignitor, not the switch.

The instruction manual does NOT address how to attach the wires. I have two ignitor wires to attach to the plunger; but, only one electrode to attach them to. Neither is a ground wire and both are pr

You probably could trace the physical path of the two wires and it is likely that one services the main burner, the other a side burner.
With a simple digital meter, you can measure continuity from the ignitor end of the two to the other ends located in a small ceramic pellet in the path of the gas flow.
If you can establish this with either method, then you can buy a simple push-on female connector with two male branches. If the grill wiring uses other than 'quick-disconnect' type termiinals, I would replace them since these are the most common type and would allow simpler replacement of the ignitor is required again.

This is aCG4TDBN (elite with no back burner) aprox 6 years old. The ignitors are starting to go bad. How do I replace them?

First, you need to determine if it is the spark ignitors going bad or the Ignition Module.
If the spark ignitor tips are covered with grease or residue, this will give them the appearance that they're failing. Cotton balls and alcohol, work well to clean the spark ignitors. Also, check the wiring from the spark ignitors back to the ignition module. There may be some wear or even a burn on the wiring. Change the battery in the ignition module. Be sure the new battery is facing the same direction as the old battery, when you install it. Before installing the new battery, check the battery holder for corrosion on the contacts. If you see any, use a Q-Tip and WD40 to remove it.

As far as replacing the ignitors is concerned, you may only have to replace the spark ignitors and not all the wiring. It depends on how the wire is attached to the spark ignitor. If it can be carefully pulled of the bottom tip of the ignitor and then si back on, all you need is the spark ignitor. If not, you'll need the spark ignitor with the wiring attached. All of the wiring, will then have to be fished back to the ignitor module.

I hope this helped you to troubleshoot and determine if any parts do need replacing.

How do i remove the ignitors out of a charmglow grill model number 720 0036 HD 05?

The ignitor electrode(s) are held in place my a small tab that's attached next to each main burner with a small screw. To totally remove the ignitor electrode, disconnect the wire to it first, by pulling the wire's sleeve off the ignitor pin. Then unscrew the holder/tab. There should be no need to replace the wires, if you are just replacing the ignitor electrodes. Be sure to remove the battery from the Ignitor Module, before trying to remove the electrodes.

How do I attach the ignitor wire? where do I do this...I know it's @ B but where?

The single ignitor wire should attach at the back of the "push button" starter. It will be on the front panel and probably says "push to light".

Oven does not heat up

most likely you have a bad bake ignitor part number WB13K21 and it's around 80 dollars, unplug the machine or shut down the breaker, remove the racks, remove the bottom floor of the oven, remove the flame panel and you'll see the ignitor attached to the burner tube, unplug the wire harness going to the ignitor, remove the screws holding the ignitor in place, plug in the new ignitor and put the screws back in,turn the power on and put it on bake, the ignitor should start to glow and the flame should lite in around 40 seconds.there are other ignitors that you can use in the stove, the only difference is that you cut the wires going to the old ignitor and splice in the new ignitor and use ceramic wire nuts to connect the wires together,it just doesn't have the harness connector on it

How do i replace the batteries in a gas grill's ignitor?

Many grills just use a standard 9 volt battery. Trace the wire from the bottom of the igniter button you push. One of the wires from this button also attaches to the battery compartment. Simply remove the battery and replace. It's usually under the shelf near the igniter button.

I bought a floor model gas grill and the igitor is not wired ( but all the wires are there). Anyone know how i attache the wires to the push button ignitor?

the push ignitor should have a spade attachment on it for the side burner wire and the main wire end should be round and will push into the end of the ignitor.

Changing the broiler ignitor

The ignitor will be attached to the burner. Usually 2 quarter inch screws. Of course the ignitor has a harness that runs to the safety valve. You can either cut the wires and connect the new ignitor using ceramic wire nuts or you can follow the harness down. It's easier sometimes just to splice the wires and wire nut it, using the ceramic wire nuts. Catriver
