Cheap and easy way. Buy an ITRIP, it will allow you to fix a radio station and play it on FM band.

Probably, but don't buy this stereo! It has a lifespan of about 6 months. I am not the only person to have had the same series of events happen with my VR-3 stereo. The same breakdowns I had, were mentioned by other customers on The usb, and SD slots will breakdown. I have played my MP3 player throught the Auxiliary port, (which would be the way you play youe ipod) but the sound quality is not great. It requires that you turn the mp3 unit up to full, and increase the volume on the car stereo significantly, and still not great sound. I am actually planning to contact Target where I purchased mine, and reccomend they drop the product.

My cd's wont play and my ipod but radio works on my jvc kdr 520

Are you talking about just the audio coming from cd's and ipod? If so, are you using an amplifier? If you are using an external amplifier, you may be using the blue wire (power antenna remoter turn on) instead of the blue/white wire ( amp remote turn on) to turn the amp on. The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amplifier.

Can i connect my ipod to this radio if so how???

You can connect your IPOD in this radio. All you need is an Apple Composite AV Cable part# MB129LL/A. It's about $50 online. Once you have that cable, you can connect it to the AUX Input jack in front of your radio and then you can play your tracks from your IPOD.

I have a jvc kd-g720 stereo in my car and when I plug my iPod into the usb port it says "do not disconnect" and even though i have about 2,000 songs on my iPod the stereo will only play the same 49 ones in...

if you are plugging your ipod into the usb port of the kd-g720 it won't play all your songs because this particular radio only plays mp3s through the usb port. ipods play both mp3s and mp4s. so those 49 songs you're hearing are the mp3s on your ipod. in order to play all the songs on your ipod you must buy the cord that plugs in the back of the radio that will connect to your ipod. sorry for the bad news man. i had the same thing happen to me.

Alpine cda 9884 has no sound in cd or ipod mode

actually, chrysler/dodge has factory Infinity sound systems installed. The nice part about these systems is that you dont have to bypass the amplifiers in order to put a new radio in, but simply power up the amp by hooking up the amp turn on wire at the harness. The alpine should have 2 blue wires coming off of the back, one that is solid, the other with a white stripe. The one that is solid only has 12v when the fm/am radio is on (used for power antenna) but cuts off when other sources are used (cd,aux, ipod). My guesses are, you have the amp wire on the vehicle harness (blue) tied into this wire, instead of the BLUE/WHITE wire on the alpine which has 12v as long as the radio is on. i hope this solves your problem, 9 times out of 10 on a chrysler this is it.

I tryed to use the red and white plug ins in the back to hook my ipod up but when i play my ipod i hear the ipod and either the radio or a cd is it possible for me to b able to hook my ipod up with out...

The RCA red and white plugs are OUTPUTS to connect to an amplifier. You are driving one audio source against another-which isn't good. There is no aux input to connect your iPod to. Copy your Ipod music to a CD-R instead and then play it in the pioneer.
